That's my thoughts on it too. It was quite fantastic, abeit conflicting with itself with its design and humor. That's a shame. I bought it full price and while it definitely wasn't worth what I paid for it, it deserves to be played.

[QUOTE="waltefmoney"][QUOTE="campzor"]maybe they should have made the game better. Ill be picking it up when it goes about $30-40 (aus)campzor
The game was pretty damn good.
im going to give it a shot but the demo was very 'meh' how long did it take you to beat it? took me about 8 hours. It really depends how much of a perfectionist you are though with your kills. Though, there hasnt been a FPS SP campaign in a while where i'd wanted to play a particular sequence again.[QUOTE="pc-ps360"]
no coop campaign
Ly_the_Fairy
I heard it wasn't implimented because it would have completely broke the game given the whole combo-kill system.
Which was basically why I didn't buy it, and don't ever intend on buying it. That was the one thing I thought would have been so cool to see in a game like this.
but isnt there a multiplayer component of the game where thats what you do? (combo with teammates) ?I bought my copy day one, with a $20 Amazon credit included. I don't regret it one bit. TO me I more than got my money out of that game. It was a lot of fun, and I still play it every once in a while. The Gears beta was just icing on the cake. It's a shame that it didn't sell the numbers Epic wanted.
it would be fun if the game can be 3rd Person Shooter than First Person Shooter.......its fun when someone chasing you with big alien dinosaur on you or controlling the mecha-saur shooter but they make it first person.....thats why it slow-sale because first person shooter and its visual aspect its limited on fps
the gameplay is good but my problem is fps situation
I would love to see them make something OTHER than a bunch of big burly steroid using guys cussing and gunning stuff down at frantic paces. I know they can. PLEASE do a reboot of One Must Fall!
One word: KILLZONED!
:P
Swift_Boss_A
Killzone 3 sure owned bulletstrom and notice a game that is on 1 console outsold a game that is on 3 systems :P ( im looking at vgchartz :P ), whats more funny is that epic games said their releasing their game same day as killzone on purpose and look how it turned out for them :P
I guess "EPIC" better rethink their strategy and maybe not have a character that speaks like a twleve year old that just learned to curse.
That's not how comedy works, you're saying I can never make a joke about a famous person because they're more successful than me?bobbetybob
We aren't talking about comedy, though, but about advertising. Comedy for the sake of comedy is welcome, but when you're trying to sella product, making fun of something significantly more successful may not be the correct approach.
Why? Because 1) it looks like jealousy, and jealousy doesn't sell; 2) it looks like lack of confidence (why do you need to make fun of your competitors, instead of showing us what you can do?), and 3) you run the risk of making fans of that franchise angry (that's 12+ million people you want to sell your game to).
It's simply a bad idea, and whatever the case, it's clear it didn't work.

And I was gonna bother responding too.
Bulletstorm was definitely worth playing. It's not really worth paying full price for though. There's no versus multiplayer and the campaign isn't long but it's a lot of fun and offers some decent replay value.
Shame. Bulletstorm was pretty fun too. The vulgarity got out of hand, but other than that it was a pretty fun game.
Cliffy B, don't bite the hand that feed you because it'll be the hand that beats you.Vesica_PrimeI'm curious, what does this post means, exactly? Because who made that statement was Epic's president Mike Clapps, not Cliffy B., and it was Epic (and EA) who budgetted Bulletstorm, so neither Epic nor Cliffy B. were "fed" in this project.

Well.
1. Not including any multiplayer whatsoever.
2. Cliffy B openly mocking a group of consumers.
3. Cliffy B is arguably the face of Epic Games, and therefore his statements reflects on the company.
4. You don't know what the hand that feeds you idiom means do you?

Yes, I just wanted to know who you were referring to in your post.
Now I know.
I'm probably going to pick it up when it hits $20. I really enjoyed the demo.foxhound_fox
I quite enjoyed it too. I may pick it up, it's like £20 now.
I only played the demo and I thought it was just alright, nothing special so I'm not suprised by this news.
Bulletstorm was awesome. It played well and looked great. It was a little thin on content but it was funny and not as crass as people make it out to be.
Well ok it was pretty crass but not as annoying as I thought it would be and unlike Duke Nukem it was actually funny.
