Unless I can whack my controller and say "AW, COME ON!" when I fail an active reload, not interested.
They can do wonders when done right.Natal, The Wand, and WiiMote are all giant gimmicks and are complete fail. Stop ruining gaming with this trash.

People need to realize Natal and gamepads aren't mutually exclusive; there are a hell of a lot of Natal-based controls you can add to a game without changing the core gamepad-based control scheme. For example, you could (conceivably, I'm obviously not an expert on Natal) give the 360 gamepad Sixaxis-esque motion control, or use hand-gestures for various secondary/tertiary controls. Nothing particularly mind-blowing, but you could use it to give a game like Gears some Metroid Prime 3-esque motion controls.
[QUOTE="Messiahbolical-"]ROFL I seriously hope this is true. That would be hilarious. If it IS true, every single Gears fan just got *****slapped in the face. I'll be busting my gut laughing when I see lemmings: 1) Having to pay probably $100 or more to buy Natal in order to play the next Gears game. 2) Are standing around the TV pointing their fingers at the screen, running in place, and acting like they're reloading their invisible gun... that would be priceless. :lol:MeltedweaselSo I guess Sony never makes bad decisions huh.
One time, SONY tried to ship a £500 console with just MotorStorm
Sadly, i bought it

Indeed it would be. :)
Actually, what they should do is bundle Natal-enabled versions of the game with lancer replicas. That way you can whack the gun instead of a controller.
Immersion!

your post reeks of fanboy........i'm guessing ur about 14...........
:| I'm 19. But what does my post have to do with my age anyways? If you don't see the hilarity of people having to do all these ridiculous motions in front of their TV, then that's your problem. If this is true though, I'll be the one over at my buddies house(he's a huge Gears fanboy) laughing my *** off watching him play it.Okay. Now imagine having your whole living room crammed with Natal-compatible props, since every Natal-enabled game you buy comes with one. (Think of those huge Rock Band / Guitar Hero bundles only for EVERY GAME) :PActually, what they should do is bundle Natal-enabled versions of the game with lancer replicas. Sucks for you. I, and a lot of other people, were smart and waited for the price to go down to $400(which is significantly less than £500, due to currency exchange). And now, everyone that waited until it went down to $300 really had their patience paid off... because not only are they getting the best console on the market hardware wise, a multimedia beast, for just $300... they're also getting arguably the best exclusive library this gen(there's a lot more than just Motorstorm out there now bro ;) ), and most likely the console with the longest life cycle.[QUOTE="Messiahbolical-"]ROFL I seriously hope this is true. What does Sony have to with any of this? Are you kidding, did you just try to start a flame war?

SADLY, i was talking about it's poor launch, hence the "one time"
The point however is that every company can, and will make mistakes, but they will rectify them with time.
My apologies if your comprehension is poor.
First of all: Why would anyone laugh at me while I play videogames? I can almost guarantee nobody's ever laughed at me while I play videogames. There's no reason to, I own a PS3. I don't have to do any ridiculous movements with my arms and body to play. All I do is sit back and relax on the couch in front of the 55" big screen. However that's not the case with anyone that plays Natal. Go watch some of the live gameplay footage videos. It looks so stupid. People look like flailing monkeys when they're playing it. This demonstration in particular I found hilarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oACt9R9z37USimple pleasures ...

Indeed movement and interaction is hilarious
Unlike the faces people tend to wear when they play "hardcore" games, or even obscenities they tend to cry.

So why are you complaining about the PS3's poor launch if it's "wonderful now". Is that the only way you can make the 360 look good these days? By bringing up the past? :| It sucks that you didn't like the PS3's launch and you spent a lot of money on it, but look at it this way... at least with the PS3's wand you wont have to look like a seizing monkey in front of the TV.One time, SONY tried to ship a £500 console with just MotorStormI bought my PS3 around launch and it's the some of the best money I've ever spent on home entertainment. On topic, I hope epic is just saying this to help hype MS. They can't be serious.Sadly, i bought it

Kind of like Sixaxis in KZ2. :Pit's probably going to be just some gimmicky feature that people will think it's cool at first but than realize it has no real purpose

If it's like running in place and whatnot then I will have to spend a large amount of time laughing at people playing Gears 3. Ace6301It's not going to be anything like that. Epic is not made up of idiots.

I simple shown that every company makes mistakes. Adding Natal to gears was previously called a mistake. As was the PS3 previously called a mistake, and look at it now.
If you had instead read and comprehended what i had wrote, instead of going on the offence and assuming i was bashing your chosen console, you would have seen that.
[QUOTE="Ragashahs"]Kind of like Sixaxis in KZ2. :Pit's probably going to be just some gimmicky feature that people will think it's cool at first but than realize it has no real purpose

eh, I think all the sony devs knows that sixaxis is pretty much useless at this point, so if and when they DO integrate it, its only to serve minor purposes. For example I like how its used in kz2 and mgs4, turning a crank is minor but quite intuitive, and changing your camo status on the fly with a quick tilt of the controller is convenient. It doesn't ruin anything, and best of all its not annoying. But if you do turn it into a major part of control schemes, then we're going to have problems.
So if natal is intended to stay, MS better start it slow and just do minor stuff with it like navigating the menus and stuff, and then extend the use later on.
