[QUOTE="NobuoMusicMaker"]Haven't we cows been saying this for a long time? PS3 doesn't control developers. We win in the end. Developers LOVE PSN.LosDaddie

Sega doesn't seem to love PSN.

and sega aren't biased? Last time I checked they were thrown out of the console market by Sony.

Sounds like damage control to me.

I'm no cow, but Sega is a bad example IMHO. It's the same as asking Apple if they like Microsoft.

Wouldn't jump to conlusions, we still aren't seen all the stuff xbox is getting on their marketplace, which is what I'd love to see.

XBL's closed system and proprietery control of any developers do. Yeah wow!

And yet that closed system spanks PSN when it comes to content from developers (especially, demos).

you realize shareware games are free? their not even comercial games.

LosDaddie

And your point is???

Again, what platform were these gams done on?

of course the PC....shareware games dont exist on consoles.

publishing shareware games doesnt make you a PC developer, when the first major game you make...is ported to the consoles. EPIC has always developed for the PC first,,,,but they also port everything to the consoles.

Make up your mind: Either Epic ports everything to the consoles or they don't.

How about EA and the lack of an NCAA Football 08 demo on PSN while there's one on XBL?

Do you consider that EA "loving" PSN?

Sega doesn't seem to care too much about their reputation with the majority of their games.

It makes sense that Sega would be more in Micorsoft's favor.

Microsoft helped build the Dreamcast and Sony put them out of the console business.

maybe because you seemed to think Epic used to develop games exsclusivly for the PC.....and even went as far as arguing over shareware games.....

clearly they never developed exsclusivly for the PC If they have made console games in the past

I think it's finally time to admit that the PSN has some clear cut advantages over Xbox Live. It certainly gives developers a lot more freedom to do what they want. If I recall correctly, a while back Microsoft forced Epic to charge for their Gears map pack downloads. I'm not saying the PSN as a whole is better than Xbox Live, not by a long shot, but there are definitely certain things which prove advantageous.

Well, that certainly explains why VF5 came out on PS3 first.

YOu do know that most mods take a long time to make.

PS3_3DO
regardless...users will bring them in by the hundreds. Mods will only make its multiplayer more funner and last longer.

I just believe Sega has moved past the point of holding a grudge against Sony. It wouldn't make sense for Sega to act that way....at least IMO.

"He means that PSN is more "open" than XBL. For a former PC-only developer's standpoint, it gives them the freedom they're generally used to."

now clearly they were never a PC only developer if all thier games ended up on consoles one way or another.

cobrax75

But Epic was a PC-only developer, you even admitted that. UT 2003 and UT 2004 didn't end up on consoles and those games relied heavily on mods.

Honestly, I don't even know why that statement got you so riled up. Let it go

[QUOTE="MCGSMB"]I think it's safe to say that even with all this, you really should get UT3 for the PC. No other system will come close to it.NobuoMusicMaker

 That's like self-ownage with all the 360 games heading to the PC.

That's the funny part; not all the 360 games are going to the PC. The games look much better on my 50in HDTV then on my 17in PC. UT3 won't play or look the same on ever gamers PC either. Some people will have to change the resolution, others won't have enough RAM so the game won't run smooth. We won't have that problem on the 360 and if Epic is smart, they will add more content to the XBox 360 version for making us wait.

Apperently from what I've read Mods for the PC version of UT can be directly ported over to the ps3 so no you don't need to buy the ps3 version.

YOu guys do know that this game was NEVER intended for the 360 and only has a 360 release because the ps3 bombed right?
