I've never played ME. I just brought it up because arguing with wii60 is like banging your head against a wall constantly. He brought up the word flop, and ME is technically a flop here, so I thought I would mess with him.

I still think Mass Effect is the best looking console game. The character models on that game are excellent.

And I hate it how people put down Gears' graphics because they're all greys and brown. What other colours are they gonna be? Nothing says intense combat in a struggle for humanity like endless pallets of pink and green...

Your getting off topic and you are all kinds of wrong today. If we want to play future releases it's no competition. PS3 is the winner.

Secondly it's sad but X360 topped out over a year ago with Gears of War that's why in 14 months they can't make anything better. Meanwhile PS3 keeps getting better and better month after month.

So the fact that even now, games that are released on the 360 and PS3 generally favor the 360 version, that means nothing? And in terms of "better" than Gears of War, what exactly are you saying? Because the character models in Mass Effect are better than those in Gears, and the first planet (Citadel) looks better than the environments in Gears. So if by "better", you actually mean "worse", maybe you're closer to right.

Not only do I agree about the Mass Effect thing (I think what drags it down in some people's eyes are the framerate issues), but I 100% agree that people use Gears' color scheme as a reason to undervalue the graphics. In my opinion, the only reason everyone thinks Uncharted is so good looking is because it looks like someone dumped an entire box of Crayolas onto the landscapes. Give Gears the same color scheme, suddenly they'll say Gears is better looking, again.

And as you said, Orange Box (and Madden, and F.E.A.R. among others) isn't nearly as impressive on the PS3. So how exactly is there good evidence for the PS3 being the more powerful system? It's all in the results. I personally don't think either system is particularly more powerful than the other, but if the 360 is easier to program for, and more adaptable, and thus games generally run better on it, I'd say that would be my pick.

ps3 is like a pc with 2.4 ghz core 2 duo with a 9800 pro and 1gb of ram

xbox360 is like a pc with a 2.2 ghz core 2 duo with a radeon 3870 and 2gb of ram.

Even though the cpu is more powerful in ps3, the second pc will be faster because of more video ram more powerful gpu and more system memory.

the other pc will only be faster at cpu intensive situations, but you wont beable to run the same level of graphics or texture detail because it doesnt have the ram.

EPICGAMES EVEN SAID 256 MB FOR CPU ON PS3 AND 256 MB FOR GPU.

xbox360 can be 512 mb cpu or 512 mb gpu unified thereoretically.

plus xbox360 is capable of 500 million + polygons ps3 is only capable of only 250 million.

Please don't embarrass yourself. Bioshock looks better than Uncharted. Don't get me wrong, Uncharted shines in some areas but overall it doesn't surpass GeoW or Bioshock. When did we go off of other sites anyway, LOL Gamespot didn't even list it in the nominations for graphics technical for this year's award. PWNED

I wasn't saying the graphics were unrealistic; my point was that I think a lot of people were impressed by Uncharted because of the use of so many bright colors. In terms of textures and character models, I don't think it's as impressive as Gears, but people take one look at Uncharted, and since it looks "nicer", they all assume it's more impressive graphically. This also hurts Assassin's Creed, in my opinion, because that's another graphically impressive game, but the color scheme is washed out and filled with whites and tans, which aren't as eye-catching as Uncharted's blues and greens.
