We go forward, not back? Then why was Unreal Tournament 3 way worse than Unreal Tournament 2004? If that's moving forward, I think I'd rather move back. As in, WAYYY back.

But that's how Epic works now. Making inflamatory comments to stay in the news because they don't do anything else remarkable anymore (besides Gears of War).

I love Epic. Every time they have a press conference at least one Employee has to come out and say something ridiculous or irrelevant... or ridiculously irrelevant.

some might say sticking with the same 20 year old idea of a video game controler moving back, meh there loss

but thats why i have a 360, only missing out on rachet, nothing else on ps3 holds interest for me

Actually its a forward step in control and so it has proven more non-gamers are playing today than ever. Console sales have already declined in japan due to consoles just looking to get more powerful rather than look to take a different direction how long till the same happens everywhere else?

Wii is keeping console sales healthy in Japan and with huge sales everywhere else and allowing for non-gamers to get into gaming, the gaming market is expanding not declining like what would happen if we continue down the same road as microsoft and sony.

Yeah exactly, it's nothing like the other consoles. It's a completely different type of system. I don't see how it can be bunched with the next gen consoles.

I don't hate the Wii quite as much as Capps, but he is partially correct. There are millions of people all over the world (like me) who bought the Wii because they genuinely wanted it--Some because it was the newest Nintendo console (me), others because they wanted a system that would be great for parties and casual gaming. However, there are also millions of people who have been caught up in the hype, and have purchased a Wii simply because A) they know it's hard to get, or B) they played Wii Sports once, and thought it was fun.

Nintendo deserves praise for taking gaming in a new direction, for sure, but I agree that the Wii is also benefitting from from hype that isn't completely deserved. Go into a Best Buy the next time they have Wiis in stock, and watch the random people (with no real interest in gaming) who hover over the console, debating whether to blindly buy one or not.

Didn't Nintendo do that this generation? They went completely parallel to the others. Instead of just focusing on a bigger GPU and more CPU's they decided to focus on the control. Seems rather odd that he would hate on the Wii yet hope that in the future there would something different then what he's currently focused on.

UT3 is NOT UT2k4. The gameplay on the PC is also changed from 2k4. 2k4 was superior in my opinion.

He made a good point but he's always going to get alot hate since he's viewed as being outspoken. I personally do not see anything wrong with his views.

Although UT3 was a step backwards for me, never should have been designed for consoles in mind....
