It looks good -like a PC game, made for PC gamers. Has a Stalker/Dayz vibe to it too.

No zombies. It takes place DURING some sort of apocalypse. The game focuses on realism, so no zombies.

And even in pre alpha, a lot more interaction with environments than any mainstream shooter released in recent years, taking full advantage of the medium instead of chasing movie fans.

That looked pretty good though not the kind of game I will play when I eventually get my pc, don't really like shooters.

Reminiscent of S.T.A.L.K.E.R aesthetically and perhaps maybe even thematically but with a cleaner menu and more robust customization, am quite interested now. If it is anywhere near as atmospheric and immersive i know i will love it; AND with some MMO flair no less? Count me in.

Yup. STALKER on steroids but with better gunplay, more customization and online features. The game also focuses a lot more realism, so it's also taking inspiration from older Rainbow Six games and bringing new ideas on the table too. For example, if you are shot, and you don't take care of the wound with right tools, it can cause a serious damage on the long run (disease or something).

Previous footage made this game look like a CQB-centered PVP shooter with minor exploration elements.

Now it looks like goddamn Stalker 2 and i like it.

this looks so good but I have a vision of this getting pooped onto early access in a totally broken state with various microtransactions and all of the hype deflating instantly.

I hope to god i'm wrong I would be so stoked for a game like this that is well executed.

Since when is playing with inventory menus considered game play?

I guess around the same time people decided that making decisions on how to outfit your character was no longer relevant as they wanted "Press X to continue" gameplay without having to make decisions.

I'm not against games that allow to you customize and make choices, it just seems that Tarkov is making the whole thing more time consuming than usual.

This is looking really good so far. If all turns out well, I know my brother and I will be picking this up.

Since it takes less time to use and gives a superior gameplay experience for KB/M than a typical console-UI which only shows 1 panel at a time in small lists? Simplified versions (as found in the last few Bethesda/Bioware games) are less intuitive, cumbersome, and more annoying to use with KB/M, and actually makes the gameplay suffer.

It might seem overly complicated and pointless to a casual console gamer at first glance (as your uneducated response shows), but it works exponentially better for KB/M.

I still salivate for the Morrowind UI when I play shit like Fallout 4 and it's pretty (for gamers like you) yet absolutely horrific UI.

So, this is what hermits think look good? Well enjoy but I think it looks really dated (gameplay, convoluted menus) for my tastes. Seems very gamey and artificial and doesn't draw me in it all, just seems rather generic.

Just signed up for beta access, looks amazing, my type of game.

For a second, it felt like a survival horror game. The suspense was killing me as I was waiting for something to pop out. Maybe a mod one day :P

By dated you mean less QTE's and a UI actually designed for KB/M? It looks miles better than filler trash like Killzone or CoD.

Well Survarium just got kicked out of the "Stalker-like MMO thing" game. Can't wait to see more.

I keep waiting for something to happen with that game, but it still all this time later seems to just revolve around pvp deathmatches....is the open world ever coming? :(

Will this be just as AAA as let's say Satellite Reign which was supposed to be the "new and amazing Syndicate" and when it gets rated 6 no hermit will ever mention it again?
