Xbox wins again with ESPN. You can watch pretty much any sport you can think of.

Agreed. Any game with Ovechkin in it will do for me.ESPN needs to get NHL back on their channels.
then ill care about it :P

[QUOTE="Skittles_McGee"]Couldn't you already watch it, since you need your ISP to provide it?Kahuna_1
Yeah. ESPN 3 has been available for a few months now. And you dont need to pay any extra to access it.
I didn't know that, just looked it up and yup... Lakers didn't start yet :?
This another thing MS said is the reason why you pay for gold?
Yet..I can do that on my PC.
Cool. Microsoft definitely needs to branch out, they have some ridiculous marketing/advertisements of their products/services. I bet they can sell air to people.
King-Espi
They already sell the Internet to people who pay ISPs for Internet.... if they can get away with that... hell.. go for the magic beans.
It is available on the PC for free, which means it can also be accessed on the PS3 browser as it has already been shown in another thread to do so. None of this matters though because my ISP is not on the magical list of ESPN3 approved ISP's so I can't watch in on any of them. :evil:

Yeah there is rarely anything I want to watch on there unless they stream an international boxing match or some tennis.
[QUOTE="DroidPhysX"]
How do you change the setting to HD quality? Its bugging me.
Kahuna_1
It is automatic based on your computer's hardware and internet bandwidth.
Wow, my internet bandwidth stinks...

ESPN 3 has been availalbe for free for more than a year maybe even 2 years when it first started it was called ESPN 360
my favorite part is even if your isp does not support espn3 or isptv from att you still have to pay the full price for xbox live
seriously i always love the 60 bucks a year argument that is the equalivant of one crappy game u dont buy. seriously it could be worse ms could be doing monthly fees of something like 10 bucks a month. everytime u say well its free on this or that who cares. video games are expensive. quit trying to post same stupid arguments as he said in waterboy "we know, we know"xbox360isgr8tUh, you should care. Since you have internet, you have a computer. Since you have a computer, if you can watch ESPN on your 360, congratulations you can watch it on your PC! Essentially, its a "feature" to do something you already could. Woohoo, I sure to do love paying money for things I... already have...?

Actually what they do is genius: charge $60(used to be $50) which seems like an insignificant amount of money, and then before you know it you have 20 million users and a billion dollars of profit a year.

So I assume that you are paying for ESPN3 just that it doesnt flat out say ESPN3 on the bill.
Yes, how dare people stand against a company making billions for charging for free things!
It's also awesome on this laptop I'm typing on right now...for free.

lol...why is everyone in this thread acting like they're getting free internet service? the internet isnt free...everyone pays for it in one way or another. the "we got that and its frrreeee..." arguement is lame and a lie. if you have so much of a problem paying to play or to watch sports then be real about it and cancel your internet suscription to and stop being hypocrites in life lol. you're not getting anything for free...it's just like with psn plus. after you pay for it then u get free stuff despite paying for it in order to get it:lol: how can it be free if you have to pay to get it lol?
the espn app added to Live is a nice feature regardless of you and people trying to discredit it. the psn browser is wack...everybody knows that it's ****. people only try to use it because they're out of ideas. and who wants to sit at their computer watching a game if you don't have to? having it streamed to my big *** TV in HD while i munch on snacks is a welcome change.
the intergration of espn on Live flows lovely and easy...you can interact with other users while watching a game and play trivia with them. it adds a lot to the service. its not just espn3. system wars has become a bitter petty place lol.

who said the internet is free? If im already paying for Netflix, why must I pay another fee to use it on something that basically acts as an extention box? And if I want to watch sports, I dont run to the internets, I run to my T.V. which I can watch for FREE and in HD.My ISP supports it, but I have 1.5Mbps connection lol. The funny thing is that netflix looks pretty good quality and streams well for me, but when I watch videos from Youtube or EPSN 3, the lowest quality looks terrible and still loads slowly. Netflix must have great compression techniques or something.

It just buffers allot because it's not real time.
@1.5 I'm guessing it's 720p?
to the two who quoted me already n those who will quote me next....please guys stop whining lol. its not a big deal...it really isnt. we all know your motives and why ur pretending you have this big moral standing on the situation. its lame and see thru...60 dollars a year is nothing to cry about. if it is you shouldnt even be gaming because games are 60dollars a pop and upgrading gaming rigs is a usually a hefty chunk of change. so stop the BS please...its petty insecure nonsense. if you can't afford it you can't afford gaming so u look silly either way. no one on here should be too broke for 60 dollars a year. if you are, seek help because you have an unhealthy addiction.
and 360 users don't pay an additional fee to use netflix. just the initial fee to use the service...unless, oh, you mean the Xbox live fee. wah wah wah lol. L-O-L at people on here acting like they have this strict moral standing on the Live fee matter then you see the exact same people changing their ethics and their beliefs for a particular system just to win an arguement on here, please. its all just trasnsparent motives and no one shouldnt be able to see thru it.
