Well OK I don't think we're going to agree with each other but thank you for being considerate.

here is the thing (just to give you more information)

addiction is related to the person, not the external substance or input.

Vast majority of people with true addictions suffered trauma as a young child (such as sexual abuse etc).

What makes addiction work is domaine, a substance we all need to live a substance that is created in ALL things pleasurable to us. The only way to remove the affects of addiction by external is to regulate and limit literally EVERYTHING that is enjoyable.

the real problem is in the abuse of children.

whoever says gambling is addictive as a source problem is a quack

Pre ordering unlimited supply digital games enabled day one DLC and season passes

Day one DLC and season passes enabled games to be cut to pieces to sell for more than they are worth through game stores with in game currency

Game stores with in game currency enabled the pay-to-maybe-get-the-intentionally-cut-content-you-wanted loot boxes

You all fucked yourselves despite the warnings

I love how some of you flip out that the ESRB took a step forward, and are not satisfied by the result. The ESRB can't stop microtransactions. So the solution isn't to blame the ESRB - this is a good step forward. The steps we need to take is to boycott these developers who want to monetize full console releases, and for the gaming media to help the process. Awareness is the answer.

THAT is the best approach.

it helps also to be open minded about indies. indie games dont do this and yes...AA indie titles are good...very good
