Eternal Sonata in 10 Days! It better be good...

Let's hope that Xbox 360 FINALLY gets a great JRPG with Eternal Sonata. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hopeful, but I'm not going to hype it.

indeed, BD was and is waaay better than enchanted arms, in every department :S

JRPGs just don't thrill me anymore even though my most favorite game ever is Final Fantasy IV. Played Eternal Sonata and thought it was ho-hum. Graphics were pretty, but again it still has all the mechanics of a JRPG - certain characters have strengths and weaknesses, you have your hit points still, your magic points, your super attacks, your weapons and armor that you need to equip, you still find random treasure chests, you still talk to NPCs without having much of a choice for dialogue options.

Some people still like this. I grew out of it.

Impossible with the scoring system now, unless you meant 7.5.

IMO, Blue Dragon got a harsher score than it deserved. Famitsu (sp?) gave it a good score, I thought. That's what matters to me, because I love JRPGs. And Enchanted Arms was A, which isn't too bad. I hope Eternal Sonata scores well.musicalmac

The enemies were just horrid and the music was terrible...GS was spot on the score.

I enjoyed the demo for Eternal Sonata but I think it is going to be quite a bit like Blue Dragon in the mediocrity department. Eternal Sonata has beautiful graphics, great music, and a pretty fun combat system, but the story appears to be pretty standard, or even a bit below.

I hope it turns out well but I thought the demo was engaging enough that even if it turns out average it will be worth picking up for something play between the larger games on the horizon.

I agree completely. After knowing nothing about the game and having just played the Blue Dragon demo, I thought the ES demo was sweet. Definitely intruiged me and it might be the first JRPG that I pick up for the 360.

this game looks soooooo awesome.

I really enjoyed the demo. However, since Halo comes out a few days later, I might not have time for both. I have decided to just skip it. Pretty sad. :(NAPK1NS

Enchanted Arms was one of the worst rpgs i have ever played though... sooo bad :P

But im looking forward to Eternal Sonata alot!!!! Cant wait!!!!!:)

In my opinion the xbox 360 already has 2 great RPGS (Oblivion and the underrated Blue Dragon) and this could be the 3rd.

Me and my boss have been playing blue dragon at work ^_^ Its a very good turn based rpg but it starts off very slow but it does pickup which is good, its like chrono cross in that respect. The characters are lame however except for zola, she a complete badass compared to the other lamers and the villians except remind me off early piccolo out of dragon ball. I reckon it is better then enchanted arms, although enchanted arms has those wierd cutscenes and the grind based auto battle system ^_^ Whilst it can be hardcore its rather easy to just auto pilot enchated arms.

Overall all comparison however is that enchanted arms is actually a better game character wise then blue dragon however blue dragon thus far has been out stripping it in every other aspect :D

Sorry, growlanser V is going to overshadow it.

Ive been done with JRPG's every since FF12.
