[QUOTE="jethrovegas"][QUOTE="Tamarind_Face"][QUOTE="jethrovegas"]Well as you already know, ES just scored an 8.5 on GS.
And as you aldo probably already know, Blue Dragon scored a 6.0 here on GS.
Guys and gals: This is what I've been talking about.
Blue Dragon= Stale, generic, and predictable JRPG garbage.
Eternal Sonata= A fresh take on the genre with innovative gameplay and a unique premise.
I predicted that ES would beat BD, and it isn't because I have a crystal ball; it's because the days of the traditional JRPG are over.
Seriously Sakaguchi, and company: Pack it up.
Your gameplay is stale, and your characters are bland and predictable. Really, just go. No one wants you any more.
I am more than willing to hand the reins of the JRPG genre to innovators like Eternal Sonata.
Innovation finally scores a win. :D

Xbox 360-------------------->PS3(with 2 new playable characters and each with a story thus making the game longer)
Yap I know what you mean. Too bad xbox 360 gets the gimped version.
Totally not what this thread is about.
Stay the hell on topic. :|
Actually your first post is full of misinformation. Eternal Sonata's battle system is very very old as in PSX era old. Games like "Tales of" and original Star Ocean used this battle system on the PSX. Theres nothing innovative with Eternal Sonata.
Actually BD is more innovative than Eternal Sonata because of its "monster fights" and ability to fight more than 1 group of enemies.
The flaw that BD had was a boring story, Slowdowns, repetetive music...
You are quite mistaken about the battle system in ES. It is very much original and not all that much like Tales or Star Ocean in any way. The only similar aspect is that you hit the button in real time with the attack..that's all.
