Wow. If those numbers are even slightly accurate, the DS has just surpassed Lucy Pinder as the hottest thing in the UK (yes, I know this is Europe, but the UK numbers HAD to be huge to have 650k).

MS has put all their chips in the U.S.

It's not a bad idea. They clearly have the edge in games right now and their top game (Halo 3) is more popular here in the US than anywhere else. If they here by a good margin, it negates their horrible showing everywhere else.

The key is NOT to lose titles to PS3. Last gen Ps2 got all the exclusives most of the time because they owned EVERY market. If X360 can steal the U.S., they can assure themselves equal software from 3rd party for the most part.

you didnt read it probably did you, MORE PEOPLE STILL HAVE A 360 IN EUROPE THAN A PS3 BY A BIG AMOUNT AND IT WILL STAY LIKE THAT

the only place ps3 is winning is in japan and there its stilll not even doing good its just that 360 is doing completely crap and wii will always rule there anyway. ps3 aint even winning by a million over 360 there and 8.5 million more people have 360 than a ps3 in europe and america put together.

Overall the 360 has 4.6 million 360's sold in Europe and the PS3 has 2.7 million. So the 360 is still leading the way over the PS3 in that country. The PS3 is selling better right now, but not by huge margins like the 360 has done in the U.S. The only thing that really saved PS3 in Europe is 1) 2 price drops in less then 2 months 2) European's love the cheap Blu-Ray player 3) Spain & Italy gamers hate M$ and love Sony. lol!!

True. but when you factor in both Japan and EU dominating the 360.. Makes things a bit more intresting dont you think

Sorry but PS3 isnt dominating in EU. It is in Japan but not EU. There is still a bigger install base and next year there will be another price drop for 360 in EU. You will see those numbers change.

i only care about the north american market since thats where i live. sure its nice if ur console is doing good elsewhere but honesty u will be playing online with the ppl in your own region most of the time. as long as 360 is selling well in north american i could care less about other places.
