[QUOTE="redmetal86"]why the hell do people make lists of wii, ps3 and 360 games? you all know damn well you wont play all the games on the lists this holiday season. hell, most of you probably wont even play half. im sure you all have jobs/wives,husbands/children/school/etc and cant play games 24/7.AlexSays

Yeah I find that kind of funny too.

All these people argue over who has the most games...

If you have enough time to play EVERY good game on your console, you have WAY too much time on your hands.

The point is, PS3 and Xbox 360 have more highly rated games.

Am i going to play ALL of them? No.

But I have more to choose from, potentially.

More than half of the games on that list are either ports, sequels, or spin-offs.

AlexSays

I'm not defending that list..

But half the games in existence are either ports, sequels, or spin-offs. :|

What's your point?

The argument that sheep make is that the Wii is the platform is for people who want fresh, creative content, but more than half of that list is populated with ports, sequels, and spin-offs.

Do you see what I'm getting at? I wouldn't have even brought up the spin-offs, ports, and sequels if the sheep had been using a different argument to defend their line-up.

The scariest part about the whole thing is the fact that this "down year" happened so shortly after its release.

i dont recall burnout having an open world enviroment and motorcycles in 1998

and, correct me if i'm wrong, but i dont seem to recall halo coming out in 1998?

And call of duty was back in ww2 then, so i dont know what you are talking about

nickmat_tycoon

I'm saying that games feature core gameplay from 1998. They copy what works and add upon it - every game does this. Call of Duty expands on FPS games back in the day. Burnout adds the crash physics.

Just because a franchise was made this decade doesn't mean it doesn't borrow features from other games. They're all great games, but better than all Nintendo games? Hell no! Galaxy single-handedly reinvented the platform genre for this generation. Brawl is still one of the current kings in multiplayer games. Yes, it is Melee 1.5, but Call of Duty is just Medal of Honour and Halo 3 isn't much different to Halo 1.

Wii gets the bagged crap for shovelware, but there's a lot of good stuff out there. There is seriously nothing like No More Heroes on the market. And if you think because it has inferior specs to other machines, it can't be as evolutionary or revolutionary, you need to screw your head on properly.

Stop it with the bloody lists. Who gives a ****.

[QUOTE="KungfuKitten"]Good games don't exist.InsaneBasura

Only opinions. The truth innit?

WOW...

NONE of those games intrest me..

Pinkyimp

Ditto. I'm kind of surprised. Really, Super Mario Galaxy is the only game that'd make me consider purchasing a Wii. That and the price would be why I haven't.

yep if it isn't a shooter with HD and tons of blood it's not worth my timeKing_Dodongo

Stupidness.

That you don't care about the majority of the Wii lineup doesn't turn you into this shallow, juvenile sterotype who only plays "cool" shooters and prefers "realism" over "fun". In fact I think that sterotype is just something you made up.

Have you been in system wars? look at those guys. They make a bazillion topics to bash the wii, make hype threads of some shooter (half the time al least), and compare screenshots to real life. Some people don't see videos anymore, it only takes one HD screen for them to say "this is GOTY" (and this applies to all genres, not only shooters) graphics matter the most to them so it's not something I made up. rant done (again)

SSBB and No More Heroes were pretty good, (And Okami, but I preffered it on the PS2) but that's still a pretty small selection and a lot of the list seemed to be ports and shovelware.

Okay, I misinterpreted what you were trying to say. Sorry for that.

I agree with what you're saying though. And the same people who claim the Wii provides a brand new experience, are the people wanting those Gamecube remakes.

Can't wait to see some of those added to these lists! :P

Heydanbud92

Yeah I see what you're saying.

Just sometimes it gets a bit annoying when fanboys ramble on about how their console has 500 AAAA games, when they only play two of them. :P

Yeah people bash the Wii and post a lot of "graphics king omg!!" threads, but that wasn't really what you communicated with your post, but whatevz.

None of those games are similar.

Of course they aren't in the same league.

That's like saying this orange isn't in the same league as this apple.

nah its more like daying this smart car isnt in the same league as this hummer

ok ssbb has basically no different graphics then melee and the same gameplay. sure halo is similair, but it has alot more fresh content then ssbb such as forge and infection. brawl has a level editor and new levels which isnt that much of a new addition. Gow is completely fresh and a great game. I am not saying galaxy is bad or brawl is bad, i am saying the 360 games just feel more new and fresh

Of course the gameplay is similar, if it wasn't the games would be vastly different. Halo gameplay is also the same, which is a good thing. Level editor and new stages/characters are pretty big additions to a fighting game. Not to mention online, however that is debatable for some people. Personally I had minimal lag with SSBB but my cousin had a lot so it depends on your connection. I can say that SOME 360 games are fresh and new but there are more fresh/new games on the Wii. I mean what is more fresh, Boom Blox or GeoW ( I am not asking which game is better, I am asking which hasn't been done before?) The answer is Boom Blox. Of course GeoW is a new IP but TPS's have been done many times before that. I know you can say that Viva Pinata is a new experience however Wii has more. Does anything on the 360 control or play like No More Heroes?

that list is laughable compared to any other year of any other systems this gen, we are starting to see the epic fail of the wii not getting any multiplats. i mean look at the last 6 months for the Wii... *tumbleweed*... yeah.

the wii sucks this holiday season, i dare any sheep to argue otherwise, i mean we already have better games on both the 360 and ps3 in the shape of LBP and Fable 2, not to mention multiplats like Dead Space (love it!)

the one ray of hope is that it does have World of Goo but thats on PC (and any PC can run it, even my crappy web-book)

it needs exclusive content and it needs it fast.

I dont post often. I don't broadcast my opinon often. But I need to speak when I see something like this. That list is bad. The PS3 has a better line up, the 360 has a better line up. This is not a good thread. Only people with a wii as their only next gen console can say this line up is good. Anyone with a PS3 or a 360, or both, will laugh at this.

BRawl was awesome

-Boom Blox was good
-De Blob is good
-Mario Kart Wii is good
-No More Heroes is a bit overrated but still a good game IMO

The rest of the lineup sucks to be quite honest..

Mario Kart Wii is awsome and Super Smash Bros. Brawl Is the greatest multiplayer game I have ever played. It is the exact opposite of a button masher. It doesn't work that way. Soul Calibur is a great game, but is more of a button masher easily. No More Heroes on the other hand was overrated. It is SO flawed, but had potential. This year has been worth it for Brawl alone as I have clocked in almost 300 hours on my own wii and even more on my freinds' Wiis. It is the only multiplayer series I haven't gotten tired of within a week and Brawl is so obviously the best of the bunch! FPSs are for cowards and fighters are for real men. You can't shoot someone in the back of the head in a fighter. You can't hide. It is what it is SKILL VS SKILL

P.S. I play Brawl competitavely so no crazy stages and no items. Even if those can be fun from time to time. I am one of the highest ranked in Manitoba. If it werejust a button masher then I wouldn't be able to constantly win all the time.
