I think people that hate the Wii are insecure and feel bashing the "kiddy system" makes them more hardcore. That being said, I am very disapointed with Nintendo this gen. I have loved all of the classic Nintendo franchises that have made their way to the Wii, but other than that, I have barely played it at all. I want some new IPs, I want a new Star Fox, a new Donkey Kong (I know Rare is with Microsoft but that doesn't mean it is impossible for Nintendo to make one). The Wii may be innovative but it's games lack quality. I have played the Wii before and it doesn't interest me at all. The games are boring, with the exception of Zelda, and Metroid, everything else sucks.HaLoMaStErJT

I never stated that it was fact. I stated that the majority of games, such as the ones I named that seem to be so popular with the casual crowd look like they are GEARED towards 12 year olds. I stand by that opinion. And considering that the flood of casuals coming in are directly tied to the huge success of the Wii, it proves what I was saying at the very beginning. I dont care how many casual players come into the market, that in itself isnt a bad thing, but when all the big companies start thinking its a cash cow, and start steering towards that market and leave other gamers in its wake (ie directly affecting me, and many others) then yes, I have a reason to gripe.

Yes but if you didn't have an Xbox 360 and had a PS3 then you would get games like GTA IV or CoD4 on the PS3... The fact is that the PS3 and Xbox 360 are very similar in terms of games so it is quite foolish to put one behind the Wii and the other ahead of it... But Yes having a PS3 as a secondary console is terrible, and vice versa...

I think even though PS3 may be 3rd this gen, most MS fanboys would admit PS3 is much more appealing than Wii.

Yep, this is one of the few things I think the Cows and Lemmings can agree on. We just have to hope that Sony and MS don't follow their example next gen.

See, that scares me a little. I don't want to go back to PC gaming. But if that happened, I'd have no choice.

There's always handhelds. You won't get the latest hardware but at least Sony will try to make a portable powerhouse.
