ok,i apologise for calling you 'sunshine' although it's not considered an insult in my manner,, it's a common term of endearment towards someone younger (i assume you are younger than 35, i apologise if i am wrong) , i don't mind jimothy, but my mates call me rob, thanks for the offer of english lessons, but i live in england (you know, where english was invented) , and i get on just fine, i can see your math's skills are obviously superior to mine, but i can still count, and like i said, i can't afford multiple consoles, and only 1 of my consoles was actually paid for with cash, so therfore my logic isn't flawed at all, again i apologise, for calling you sunshine, i meant no offence, if ever you are in northampton ,england, i will buy you a beer to make ammends
Haha, a little extreme...but thanks for the apology. Sometimes my love for sarcasm gets the best of me. I'm actually 26. I'm kinda in the same proverbial boat. I'd buy a 360 as well (for fewer games than the PS3, but games nonetheless), but I LITERALLY couldn't afford to pay for Live right now. No joke. $5 a month is nothing, sure, but $40-60 all at once I DON'T have at the moment (much less money for a 360 and said games). I figured sunshine was a term of endearment just given context. You don't hear that one often over hear in the U.S., if at all.
All apologies (bad Nirvana reference) and jokes aside, what are the average game prices over there like? I know with the conversion they're higher, but I'm interested in hearing from someone who actually LIVES overseas. Also, dumb question, do you have different power outlets in England or is that just in other countries in Europe?

i didn't buy my first 360, i traded my xbox and every game i had for it, my second one my wife bought me for christmas and it only cost a 100 quid, and i will have you know i got an A grade in maths sunshine, and to imply i don't know how many kids i have is just plain rude and insulting, and you obviously have nothing better to do than nitpick holes in what people say without the benefit of all the facts, i suggest you go and learn some manners sunshine[QUOTE="delta3074"][QUOTE="Ryan_Som"]
Bad logic is bad. You "can't afford multiple consoles" yet you own a BACKUP 360?
Please go count your children, I fear you may be missing one given your stellar math skills.

Rude? Insulting?! YOU'RE the one calling people "sunshine."
...
Actually, that's kinda nice. I like it. I mean, I like sunshine, so the name is just as well. As a show of my good nature and the kindly "light" you've shed upon me *pause for awkward laughter* I've decided to give you a nickname as well. From now on, I shall call you Jimothy.
Well, Jimothy, I too know the perils of mathematics. The Pythagorean theorum and Fibonacci's Numbers and myself had quite a good time, I can tell you that much. Speaking of manners, could you Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally? I knew you could ;) You see, we're the good guys, Jimothy. And I'm so nice, I'd like to help you out! I invite you to 2 FREE English lessons at a time and location of YOUR choosing! Doesn't that sound lovely, Jimothy? I thought it would.
Lol, you're cool.
On topic, no one likes RROD. And if a person says they don't mind it, they are lying. All things considered, at least they have somewhat addressed these problems with the more recent tech. And damn right I would be pissed if my 360 RROD'd, so I dont blame the marines, :p.
good thing it wasn't my platoon filming something like that, we're mortarmen and nothing would have been left of the system to use for the end.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. That's RETARDED! I suppose that's all relative to income / inflation as well though. On that thread you linked I read something about the average weekly income weighing in around $1200 USD. Given that figure (roughly more than twice the average weekly figure in the U.S.) it seems reasonable that games would be twice as much. Seeing that price on a game is ridiculous though. My condolences.
That game is seriously awesome though. Good pickup, sir.
