Ever bought a system and instantly regretted it?

I bought a Gameboy Advance at launch. The screen in the first models was total junk. I was so dissapointed with it I traded it in for some PS2 games within days of buying it!

What has been your worst gaming purchase?

Nope. Enjoyed every system I've bought.

The PSP.

Worst launch lineup ever. I hated it.

1 year later things changed though.

Bought a Nintendo DS with Final Fantasy III, got bored within weeks and hocked it on ebay soon after. That's the closest thing to a console I've owned since about 1997.

Yeah I wouldnt say instantly regretted it..I was a kid at the time and I had a gameboy advanced.. I dont even remember how on earth I played games on those because I looked at it again recently and its freaking impossible to see ANYTHING. Yeah other gameboys didnt have a backlight either but they had alot less going on the screen and the graphic detail made things about 20 times harder to see. I also didnt really get any good games for it which is why I regretted it after a while.. I realize it was just bad choice on my part but most of the stuff I had sucked hard and the games for the time were really expensive so I stopped buying them

My PSP-1000 traded in for DS

PSP i guess. I only bought my 2nd game for it this year... I bought it at launch.

OH yeah actually I change my answer PSP. Not one worthwhile game on that whole system imo. The gba had tons of great games I just was a stupid kid and didnt know enough about games to know what they were at the time. But Ive searched and searched for atleast ONE psp game that I really really like and so far they all range from terrible to just ok.

Nope. Though I got a PSP as a gift once and turned it in.

THe PS3 I regretted it after I beat MGS4 and ended up selling the console. However, the PS3 is a great console and I would maybe purchase one again to keep.

My psp a little because I didn't really need to be buying another system, didn't last long though thanks to psone classics and crisis core :P.

The 360, not instantly though.

PS3 at first, but then a whole bunch of awesome exclusives came out a few months later and I was happy.

Bought a PSP at launch, sold it 3 months later.

To begin with, the PS3!! - Reistance, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk and Folklore were great games - but it cost 400 quid, I mean...really...

These days I don't regret it for a second - the price made it future proof, no periphals, add ons or subscriptions = no additional cost down the line. A quality library that nicely compliments my PC. Turned into one of the greatest consoles I've ever had.

The Nes, Snes, Amiga, N64 and PS2 were all satisfying right off the bat as far as I can remember 8).

Not instantly regretted but i regret getting a ds lite should have gotten another psp(my first one broke :() instead the games for it are more appealing to me then the ds.

With GameBoy Color I was a little disappointed b/c the screen was so awful and the system itself underpowered.

Nope...when I buy something that costs over $100 I think it over for a while before actually buying it.

Never regretted any systems or portables I bought...

original XBOX. bought it for the halo franchise and maybe played it for 2 weeks before I never touched it again :/
