Ever ended up enjoying a game that lots of other people thought was stupid?

Some console gamers think a lot of pc games are stupid, so yes I have.

Prototype, Quake 4, and Guilty Gear 2.

Final Fantasy XIII. Some people didn't like it but i thought it was amazing.

COD MW2 and Final Fantasy XIII. I feel like those are some of the best games this gen. I'm not kidding.

The Darkness MP. I hardly experienced the lag most people complained about so it was an enjoyable experience for me.

Metroid Other M, Ape Escape (PS1), Conflict: Desert Storm (PS2) and Spyhunter (PS2).

Yugi-oh tag force games on the PSP, I put 600+ hrs in the series.

Parasite Eve 2, I dun know what people think about but it's surley underrated and underappreciated.

hunted demons forge, apparently it was just a 5 to the gamespot reviewer (its obvious kevin v only enjoys certain type of games so why does he review other kinds of games i wonder) but ive been having a great time with its coop.

White Knight Chronicles

Alpha Protocol - Very underrated game.MushroomWig

I LOVE THIS GAME. First game I got for the N64 and I would get sh** from my cousin, because it was expected from everyone to get a N64 with Super Mario 64.

Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace for PS. Every critic panned it to hell and back... but I found it a very refreshing experience. I'd say it was almost the predecessor to Knights of the Old Republic, but level based rather than non-linear. I liked how you could go about the objectives in different ways and get massively different results. And the bugs... oh lord they were hilarious. To me it was one of those "so bad its good" games. And given the state of most Star Wars games to come after, it was pretty good. A little rushed though.foxhound_fox

I really liked a game called Rune, but it wasn't rated well.

Dead Rising 2. Everyone I know in the internet just raves about how amazing it is, but every close friend I have has either never played it, never heard of it, hates it for being incredibly difficult or hates it for being unrealistic. Its one of my favorite games as well.

Call of Duty series also. Oddly this is something reviewers and friends love, but its not hard to toss an internet rock and hit someone with their annoying and unasked for opinion on the game and its "milking" or "greediness". Honestly, its a fun game and I don't buy the DLC. I buy it because its a good game and I like buying good games every year.

ALL THE TIME. Sonic 06, Sonic Unleashed, Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Legendia, Sonic Adventure, InuYasha: Secret of the Cursed Mask, Star Ocean 4, White Knight Chronicles and World of Warcraft. A lot of people tell me I have a strange taste in video games, I often don't like the most mainstream games like Call of Duty, Halo and Madden. My all time favorites are more obscure.

I know World of Warcraft gets a lot of praise from critics and gamers alike, but most of my friends have something against that game. I guess they don't like WoW because it's infamous for ruining some people's lives because they get addicted too easily. But that's not me, I love WoW, but I'm not addicted. In fact, I haven't played for 2 weeks.

FF13. That game us so surreal and beautiful, I don't care what people say. I liked it. enterawesome

if you read my earlier post you'll see where I said that I thought MW2 was one of the best games this gen.

Resident Evil 5. Sure, it lacked any sense of horror, but I thought it was a great co-op experience.

Alot of people also give Super Paper Mario alot of crap and I thought it was just shy of excellent. If they would have made it more difficult and given it more depth, it would have been an excelllent game. In it's current state, it's a great game packed with creativity and genuinely funny humor.

People are just randomly naming games:? RE 5, COD, Runescape? No one thinks those are stupid now when I rented Shrek Superslam with friends as a joke...I actually kind of like it.

Socom Confrontation, still play it till this day since day 1. The new Socom 4 is really not a Socom game i have it but rearily play it. Also Mafia 2 is really good and i like it a lot.

Not the type of games people would give you crap over though. When I say I play Killzone or some other shooter people are either "hell yeah!" or "oh that game sucks" but if I ever brought up Billy Hatcher they'd be like wtf.
