And i guess having it over a year late is just anoher bonus?thegoldenpoo
and it bothers you that its a year late because???? its going to affect your life how????
some ppl have yet to play the game if you didnt know
I have a question for PS3 only owners who are planning to buy this game:
Don't you know the game's big "twists" by now, have they been spoiled for you? I'm just wondering because certain parts of the game have been discussed to death all over the internet, and it would've bothered me to have it spoiled before I got a chance to play it.
Anyway, I love this game, I played it to death on the 360, got every Ach, even Brass Balls. PS3 dudes who haven't played it yet are in for a huge treat. I'm also planning to re-buy it for my PS3, I'm looking for an excuse to play it again. Going to get all the trophies.
And i guess having it over a year late is just anoher bonus?thegoldenpoo
if someone is getting a "next-gen" console for the first time it is indeed a bonus. 360 lost another exclusive, get over it.
personally, I played it and done with it.
I just hope it isn't overrated , some Lemmings were just going on and on and on about it.Nike_Air
haven't you played it?
In any case, it isn't overrated here in GS (9.0 is the right score), but it is very overrated in all the other media (it's not a 10, it's not revolutionary, it's not the best gaiming experience in years like some lemmings said)
So expect to play a great game, a 9.0 game :)

It was never a 360 exclusive.
[QUOTE="angelkimne"]I don't think Bioshock will get AAA... maybe 8.5.RuprechtMonkey
Not a chance in Hell.
9.0 all the way.
The Reviewer most likely will of completed the game a year ago. I doubt it will manage the same score as the 360/PC versions, and NOT because the game itself will be worse, if anything it will be better, but because of the time difference.Oblivion Ps3 was much improved, yet it still scored worse.
There's no such thing as a guaranteed AAA.RobbieH1234
yes it is and it's name is little big planet. i wouldnt be surprised if this game got a perfect score.

Oblivion wasn't that much improved, just ever so slightly sharper textures, and it only scored .1 point worse. If they had been using the .5 system back then they would've both had identical scores (9.5) without a doubt. Such a .1 point difference is not possible anymore, scores move in .5 increments. There's no way they'll dock it .5 points, it's just not an 8.5 game.
Also, many believe Gerstmann slightly underrated it the first time, GS gave it one of the lowest scores (it's a little over 95% on GR) of all the big name sites. It's likely that the reviewer writing it up this time will be warmer towards it.
Idunno about that TC b/cif there isn't any major new content or improvements to the original and this version coming a year after the original; I can almost guarantee a AA. ;)SecretPolice
Even if it's identical to the 360 version (not including the survival mode stuff and other stuff, I'm speaking graphically and performance wise) I'd bet you my account it will still score a 9.0. The only way it's scoring below 9.0 is if it's worse, performance wise, than the 360 version - and all indications point to that not happening.

agreed, oblivion on the ps3 scored way less not cos the game was worse but cos it was old news, when gs reveiws games they judge them on how they stand up to other games that are out at the time, and games have gotten a lot better since bioshock first came out.More examples :Oblivion wasn't that much improved, and it only scored .1 point worse. Gears scored lower on PC than 360
San Andreas, Vice City and GTA 3 all scored more on Ps2 than PC/Xbox.
And i can probably come up with lots more.
Playing a game for the second time just isn't quite as enjoyable....
Also Oblivion Ps3 was much more improved over Oblivion 360 than BS Ps3 over BS 360 imo.
agreed, oblivion on the ps3 scored way less...delta3074
No, it didn't. It got a 9.5
The 360 version originally got a 9.6. The PC version originally got a 9.3.
That's not scoring "Way" less.

That said, with the way the media has been hyping LBP to hell and back, they'll have no one to blame but themselves for causing a fanboy backlash if they flop it.

I will bet you my account here that BioShock will score a 9.0 on the PS3.Nobody really thinks about it on system wars because its sw. Its a multi-plat. Outside of SW its another quality PS3 game but on sw its also on 360 so it doesn't count. Its almost like it doesn't exist. Once its on PS3 lems can't claim it so it'll basically be erased from existense.
Only on sw though. Everywhere else (even other forums on this site) its probably talked about alot more.
I will bet you my account here that BioShock will score a 9.0 on the PS3.RuprechtMonkeyI don't. I use my account every day and don't want to lose it.
But I would put the text 'I got owned by RuprechtMonkey' in my sig for a week if it does.

I don't want you to lose your account. :PLook up GS reviews for Gears 360 & Gears PC ( year later with added content and better visuals ) and you may rethink what you have just stated

OK, you put that text in your sig for a week or whatever if you lose, I'll still bet my account.
I just can't see it getting below 9.0, so I don't think I'm risking much.

Had it on PC, IMO it's pretty overrated. Couldn't even finish it.
Same here, bought it for pc and only got about half way through before losing interest. Most overrated game of last year imo. It has a pretty poor shooting mechanic. However, I'm sure a lot of PS3 owners will buy it and enjoy it.

gamerankings, oblivion xbox 360 9.2,oblivion ps3 7.3 some of us don't go by ONE review.oh and you can say "only teh gamspot scores" all day long, i'm not that narrow minded. in fact i'll shove that statement in peoples face when bioshock fails to get AAA on ps3 on gamespot[QUOTE="RuprechtMonkey"]I have a question for PS3 only owners who are planning to buy this game:

Then do yourself a favor and read as little about it as you possibly can, because some dickhead will try to spoil it for you the first chance they get, it's almost guaranteed.... and some of the plot developments are some of the best parts of the game.
