Everyone Seems to be Bandwagoning on PC

That is all we are saying in this thread. We aren't separating it by genre. PC isn't a niche, vocal minority, or band wagoned. It is THE ultimate popular force in gaming. Gue1 was wrong, and thats why he ejected the thread without responding.

IMO you can only say people are hiding behind the PC if they come back next gen or don't game on the PC and just say they do. Why aren't people allowed to be unhappy with the current gen consoles.

Come on, honestly, this has to be the most unexciting new generation of consoles we have EVER had. No point suddenly hiding behind multiplats and indies. Also the PC has opened my eyes to the milking I chose not to see on consoles last gen. With most multiplats also coming to the PC now, I personally don't ever see me becoming a console gamer again.

On the hardware point, I still can't believe consoles are now about AMD APUS. Don't get me wrong, I admire the concept, I always have. But they're the lowest point on the PC gaming scale. They were meant to bring decent media functionality to the cheap low end PCs.

I go with PC and PS3 for now. Only have the PS3 for BluRay, NHL Gamecenter and NHL 14/15. I play some old time classics like RDR and God of War on it.

But everything else I go with my PC. Just so much better graphics. Plus I have my TV hooked up to TV and monitor at the same time. Owning wireless keyboard, mouse and Dualshock 4 makes me play wherever I want (table or couch). Plus cheaper games aswell.

I had a PS4 but sold it since there aren't any games that interest me and that I can't play on my PC until 2015.

I might get one later but PC is my 1st choice.

Easily one of the best games ever made (Max Payne 1 and 2) . I did the same before playing Max Payne 3 and guess what .? I am playing Alan Wake ATM and will be playing Max Payne 2 after that , meanwhile Divinity : OS will be on download .

Please don't act like you got this out of me somehow....I never said PC doesn't have better revenue.

But yes...it's is a niche platform....b/c THE MAJORITY OF THE REVENUE IS FROM 2 OR 3 TYPES OF GAMES.....MOBAs and F2P.

Not like on console where.....fighting games sell well....racing games sell well....AAA games sell well.....FPS sell well.....open world games sell well.

did you actually read my comment ? id idn't think so, i only put Console gaming is dying because the other option 'loud minority' is completely ,flat out ,wrong, PC revenues are far higher than Console revenues so how on earth are Pc gamers a loud Minority, the Facts point to them being a loud majority.

And you are talking BS, you CAN own all the consoles and still be PC gamer because what you are is defined by your PRIMARY gaming platform, basically your logic is flawed because you could say that anyone who owns a PC, which is virtually everyone cannot be a console gamer.

if console gaming is dying why is revenue higher than ever before? Both console and pc gaming are fine. Sony & MS have sold about 15 million consoles combined in under a year which is a big amount considering mobile gaming on tablets and phones want a factor when last gen hardware launched.

Still no games though.

What do you mean no games, what ones are missing? There's plenty of games on XB1 including the biggest release this year so far and all the big multiplat games are coming to both platforms and PC, bar Destiny which could be hit or miss to be honest. PC will always have more games due to a massive back catalogue that can be played using emulation when needed or changing a few settings but its unfair to say that consoles released less than a year ago have no games, granted Sony seems to be struggling a little to get anything New out but that will change.

Its the gaming internet populations fault. This gen more so than ever, power and resolution has become this massively important battle cry. And since most people will lie in order to 'win' a debate with another internet poster, everyone now is a PC gamer first. It does trump consoles in these now all important qualities.

Lie. Console fanboys spend a lot of time on here picking on the other consoles, so unless the power of their console has increased the length of a day I'm calling bullshit.

well, its the first time in awhile that consoles wasnt ahead of the pc when it launched. maybe thats why...

but console sales says that current gen consoles are doing good

Considering how "last gen" the "new gen" consoles are, I'm not surprised that more are giving PC's a go. Also PC gaming is cheaper these days, better game prices, better sales, no extra monthly charges and a open platform. My PC cost me around $600 to put together and should last me through this console cycle, I might get a new card in in 4 years or so since some developers make PC first games that require much more juice then console ports.

PC genres that sell well:

1. RTS

2. Sim

3. MOBA

4. ARPG

5. MMO

6. Plenty of AAA games, (nearly all blizzard, feraxis, sega games)

7. WRPG

(F2P isn't a genre)

How is that a Niche? All of these genres help PC beat out 6 combined console sales. It's incredible and the OP was wrong.

Seeing Remedy on the box is the same thing as a seal of quality. When I buy a game from them I know it's going to be good.

I'm certain that QB will be awesome too. I hope it makes enough money to fund a sequel for Alan Wake :)
