The sport game alliegence desides which console wins the sales war. If FIFA/Madden that many in this forum spit on, goes X1 exclusive the much more popular now PS4 will be doomed. Sony can pretty much throw all ps4s away....

So please before you spit on sports games pray that they dont leave your precious console.

The annual release of sports games results in tacked on gimmicky "features," lacks polish and innovation. :)

Id probably purchase 1 or 2 sports games a year if they werent full price titles. yearly releases should be budget games.

If FIFA/Madden go exclusive to any console, EA will be doomed, not Sony or Microsoft.

I have no problem with sports games; I always find them fun to play. I just don't care for buying them annually just for roster updates. Now if NFL 2K came back, then that might be a different story.

Neither MS or sony can afford to buy either madden or FIFA to be exclusive. Also it wont happen ever, thats not how EA works. EA wants their games on as many systems as possible.

I don't look down on sports games although I've stopped buying them. I just need more progression than they offer to me. I can understand the appeal though. My favourite of all time was sensible world of soccer probably.

After competative Strategy games, I spend most of my time on sports games. particularly Fifa and NBA, despite not knowing one thing about basketball the games are good.

that might be because they know pc users are modding their game and updating the roster for old games.

im sorry but what? hahahahahahahahaha PES isnt any deeper than Fifa and i've played both series respective releases last year and its honestly around the same PES has some better areas in terms of the on field AI etc but Fifa clinches it with a better team selection, transfer market and generally a better production as well as feeling overall a much much much more smoother experience.Dont get me wrong PES's champions league mode is second to none but Master league is just utter bollocks.

Sorry, sports games are just boring to me, most of the time. Typically I like to immerse myself in games that give me the opportunity to do things I wouldn't normally be able to do in real life. I mean, with sports games I can just go outside, gather some friends, and play.

I play FIFA and NHL. And I'm thinking of buying The Show 13 on Vita. Sports games are great, in my opinion. The yearly improvements have gotten to the point that the game is pack full of deep contents. Has anyone played The Show 13 on Vita before? How is it? Buying it on PS3 right now is not an option for me sadly.

You have to buy the equipment, get a proper venue, and hopefully get people who can actually play what you are going to play (that's minimum of 22 people for a game of soccer). Moreover, a lot of people who buy sports games are sometimes not at liberty to just "go out and play". They might not have the time, or they live in the city where it's pretty hard to find a decent place to play sports.

it's sad that sports games are so often terrible in terms of how seriously the devs take it. It is easy money for them, so why put in the effort? A lot of people come back to the games every year, but I have stopped. Sports games are perfectly suited to video gaming simply because a sport is already a game. A lot more people would appreciate sports games if the devs actually cared about the games like they do about games in other genres. But of course they would rather take easy money than risk losing money making a game great.

Fifa is just ridiculously easy vs ai on any difficulty without much assistance whereas Pes is fun and challenging so even if the career mode in fifa is better (I prefer ML) the gameplay makes it so it's a chore to get through a season without simming any games in fifa. And if you're playing PES on a console then you're missing out

Try playing manager mode on legendary with a half star team it is not easy especially if you don't have a team with a lot of speed.

No one really "spits" on them, they're just multiplats.

No one cares about multiplats on system wars unless you're talking about how some PC you found in a dumpster can run games better than the PS4.

MLB the Show is more of a rehash the last few years than Madden has been. Still a better game but there haven't been many good improvements.

Not really. In order to keep there licenses with these sports teams/leagues they are forced to make games every year. In there contract.
