[QUOTE="Kahuna_1"]Getting the game in regions where they are doing fine is not going to drive sales...GTA4 flopped at doing that, FF13 will be no different. Multiplat games do not drive console sales, they took away the exclusive so now Sony cannot get a boost outside of Japan. MS gave up in Japan so their goal is to try and hurt Sony's sales because they feel their upcoming exclusives will be enough to hold Sony off in US/EU. With FF multiplat, Sony is going to hurt.

MS is a business. Why do fine when you can do better? FF13 will help them to do better by giving people who don't already own a console the option to purchase a 360 and FF13 instead of a PS3 and FF13.
It probably won't give them a huge boost in sales but as long as it sells 360s then the move was a success. Hurting Sony doesn't really help MS. It's not like losing FF13 as an exclusive is going to drive them out of business.
Yeah and because the game is multiplat it will not move systems. Of course it will sell on the 360 about 5 million people are going to buy it across both platforms plus games sell more in the US on 360. And MS does want to hurt Sony's sales otherwise they would not have bothered to spend x amount of money to make FF13 multiplat. FF13 is going to cost Sony around 1 million extra sold systems in 09 which I think is a big deal.
