Honestly I don't know how MS is going to make it's money back. $50 million? There are targeted sells goals for this "loan" of 50 million, if they don't meet them they have to payback money to MS.

So how much do you expect each episode to cost? Let's assume 4 million XLIVE users buy it. To make back $50 mill each of the 2 episodes would have to cost about $6 dollars each. Why do I get the feeling it's going to be something like $15-25 per download though......they do want to make money after all.

At the end of the day you are going to pay somewhere in the range of $100 for the X360 by the end of it. To me that's not worth it. I'd rather buy different game than play the same one for a couple more hours.

the content comes out in March 08 and November 08, so say by then with the christmas sales it sells 6 million units, if they charge $10 for each pack and 3 million buy each one (half) then thats 30 million a pack for 60 million

Now obviously R* gets their 50 mil and MS makes 10 million which isnt a lot, but i dont think this was about making money off the pack but getting GTA fans to buy a 360 for the content instead of the PS3...its a good move for MS they wont lose money and it can only help them

Shivering Isles was good for the 360...that extended the game for people who were otherwise done with it...

They Never are. The only microstransaction that i ever purchased that was worth the money was Shivering Isles. The rest of the stuff that becomes available to download costs the developers next ot nothing to make becasue pretty much all of the content is maps and missions and weapons they didnt have time to put into the retail copy of the game. DLC is never worth the money.

It seems to me that Microsoft Paid 50 Million for "exclusive" Content, Just so we would be here right now, talking about how microsft gave R* 50 million dollars. If Sony didn't use uncompressed audio in that game it would have been a lot smaller. Beside, it was only 16GB, leaving at least 8GB for additional content. Think 2 maps were 8GB?

Think about it... has R* ever done anything but good things with their flagship, guaranteed moneymaking franchise? Honestly think about it... don't just blurt out a response.
