Gears of War and Mass Effect are console exclusives.double_heist
LOL, what? I have both for PC.

It depends what you're talking about. Since most people swear their undying allegiance to a console manufacturer, and not a console itself, MLB The Show should probably be considered exclusive in the fanboy wars that rage on within this forum. In a thread comparing the PS3 and XBox360 (75% of the threads in here), we should count Mass Effect as an exclusive. If we're comparing the 360/PS3 to the Wii (pretty much the other 25%), I see no reason why the vast array of multiplats on the PS3/360/PC shouldn't be included in the analysis.
Because that's so complicated, though, and because it's not easy to determine what the scope of a particular discussion is, people generally stick to absolute exclusives. Sometimes it's an interesting question, though. For instance, if you know you want to buy two platforms, you'd much rather own a PS3 and a PC than a 360 and a PC. You'd much rather own a PS3 or 360 and a Wii than a PS3 and a 360. Maybe someone would want to own a Wii and a PC (though I doubt this is a popular choice...).
Whatever. The point of this forum isn't categorization or information, it's bickering. So you're free to call anything an exclusive as long as you can engage in a pointless argument about it fraught with ad hominem attacks.
Hope that helps.
PC is sometimes ignored as it is not technically a console, though this is usually done by fanboys of the other system that the particular "exclusive" is available to. Among the OP's examples, Gears of War is not an exclusive, Mass Effect is an Xbox 360 exclusive, and none of the MLB ##: The Show games are exclusive.NBSRDanNo Mass Effect is NOT a 360 Exclusive. It is also on PC.
[QUOTE="cowgriller"]personally i feel, as do some other users, that the pc should not be considered a system or a platform because gaming is not the primary function of a pc. agentfredSo what happens if my PC was built primarily for gaming? I gotcha, didn't I? :P
not really. you could build a pc for gaming but the pc's original purpose is to crunch numbers. basically, an expensive and quite larger calculator. sure over the years the lines have blurred but the consoles primary purpose has never changed. to play games. pc's like are said, take gaming as a secondary duty, not primary.
