Exclusives likely won't ever be Major system sellers again

Nah, seriously, I understand the meta game and okay, GS gave it a numerical score of 6.0 floppity flop flopzers confirmed but go read the actual text of the review and you'll find that it seems a glowing review of the awesomeness of MCC. Yup, they screwed up the launch but the meat & potatoes of that compilation of 4 AAAE games with tons of content is a game ALL halo fans should own and even those who aren't Halo fans to boot plus at this time most of why GS scored it a 6.0 has been fixed so there's that as well. :P

Excluives are wet set a system apart from the others, so I disagree.

Nintendo games and SFV are few exceptions, but yes mostly dead.

I know i'll buy an xbone for banjo threeie, a console that in 2013 I said I would never buy.

A big reason why games were exclusive in the past was because consoles had almost completely different architectures, requiring a lot more effort and resources to port from one console to another, since you had to almost entirely rebuild the game from the ground up for each console.

But nowadays, it's relatively easier to port games from one system to another, because consoles use very similar architectures, so developers can make a lot more potential income from multi-plats with a lot less effort and resources required.

So..xbone has no games!

That doesn't apply to other systems though. You shouldn't try to bring other systems down because of the pathetic outlook of the system you choose to buy. It's not our fault you pledged loyalty to company who would rather have all their execs give heart transplants before creating games.

The fact that you are making this thread only shows that you accept the fact that xbone is the worst system to own for quality exclusive games this generation and trying to create the perception that exclusives no longer matter is a desperate tactic to make yourself feel better about the fact that it's the system you chose to drop your money on and defend up until this point.

I usually hop on board after Year 2 when there's enough exclusives to justify the purchase. I didn't hop on board the PS3 until 2009. It'll probably be the same for the PS4 (early 2016?).

And it met hype. Clearly sales show that people didn't care, and considering it was not as bad as launch Skyrim I'm not surprised. Some people like Halo way too much for glitches to bother their 10th playthrough of Halo 2 (probably with classic graphics on) I mean it met casuals hype as well apparently, I bet Halo 5 could need to install a patch every time you turb the game one to play only 1 hour a day and it will still break records for no reason.

You disagree with the facts that most games that sell are not exclusives unless they are bundled modest to heavily especially in big markets? Outside of Halo and possibly GT? You don't see other exclusives getting buried when doing that?

In fact except Halo MCC all other exclusives without bundles have pretty much vanished in terms of sales.

Nintendo had to bundled it's best selling exclusives and some of which still did not do that good, so exactly what do you mean that nintendo games are the exception? And unless SFV is bundled I see an inevitable flop, especially since it looks like 4 and cuts over 2 million out of the install base.

The Xbox one currently has more exclusives you can buy in store, the PS4 is currently at the moment last. You brought fanboy stuff about the PS4 to a thread not about fanboy stuff (as usual) when the PS4's bonly good selling exclusives were all heavily bundled just as I said. Wii U had no choice but to bundled it's best selling exclusives as well, the rest barely sold, and even then, those bundled exclusives barely moved systems to expand all their cards are played.

PS4's best selling games and systems movers have all been Multiplats. The only good selling exclusives were bundled such as Infamous, Killzone, Knack, and Uk is saving Driveclub slowly.

So have the Xbox ones with the exception of Halo MCC (I guess the media sweeped that under the rug good) with games like Forza 5, slow slow sales of Ryse and DR3 (it did reach 1.2 million though and did have some bundled to thank for that) Titanfall, heck even for awhile Forza Horizon 2.

Also I don't know where you are getting this defending Xbox one, there's a difference between defending and someone saying "X is Y" when that's wrong. if I said the PS4 had no shooters, you would say i am wrong and list shooters how would i then make the claim that you are a Sony fanboy (if we already didn't know you were possibly brofistst alt) derp.

If you mean that exclusives are dead on it I think that applies to all systems unless they are bundled.

@TigerSuperman: Despite everyone's doom and gloom, Nintendo still did well this year. It did so and returned to profit almot entirely on its own first party lineup of exclusive games. Making their exclusives some of the most relevant in the industry.

SF fanbase is so strong and passionate they will go where the platform exists. It does look similar to SFIV but like Mario the artstyle has reached maximum detail. It won't deter people from buying it. That game will live or die by its fighting balance and mechanics.

Rise of Tomb Raider is time exclusive it will be on PS4 and PC in 6 month after release on Xbox one.

I think what you are getting too is that there haven't been any real grounding breaking exclusives like when halo first came out. The problem is a lot of these franchises come out every year with a new iterations that don't really change much. This causes the game to lose its cache that it once had.

PC/PS4 are gettin ported version when half the gamers are gonna be done with the game already and you pay full price

what if its console exclusive like street fighter 5, dead rising 3, ryse?

you wouldn't even get the game at that point you would have to play it on 360/xb1 or a PC so just take her outa ur avatar ur not playing on psx for all we know

maybe microsoft helped fund the development of the game and paid devs and told square-enix they would give them all the profits while publishing it
