Explain Gaikai to me (aka biggest rip off ever)

So from what I understood we got to pay for the games we already own again  in order to play them, and by playing them, I mean streaming them which means an always online connection is required, right?

WTH?!! this is why ppl raged on MS in the first place, this idea is so stupid and a rip off at best, how are they advertising the PS4 as an offline machine and rubbing it on MS face when gaikai is as stupid as MS old policies !!

we have no idea when gaikai BC streaming will be introduced, have no idea how it will work, and what will be available on it...

All we really know is that it will stream old games and that it is not requirement for the PS4...not sure why you are complaining already. Could at least wait for more details...then again this is SW.

It's an added benefit for the PS4. Don't want to rebuy your games? Then keep your PS3. No one is forcing you to do one or the other, its just a backwards compatability option that you can have opposed to nothing at all.

Not interested in it at all, but the usual cows will bend over and pay that extra dollar - on top of the online multiplayer fees LOL

Why would you need always online ?

If you play the game you need to be online, your controller inputs are send to the server where it's being processed and the result is streamed back to you as a movie, input lag will be noticable no matter the internet speed .

So?  It's just another form of backwards compatibility.   Not like it's a necessity or anything.   People couldn't care less when Sony took out PS2 BC from PS3s.  It was such a minor thing.  Now here we are today with people rebuying HD PS2 collections.

I think Gaikai is a great idea if it can be implemented correctly.  It's just a service, I don't get how it's a ripoff.

I think Sony uses the BC via Gaikai as a test, if it works close to lagless on fast internet connections then the next Playstation will just be a streambox in the future and game specs can evolve all the time as they will hold the hardware .

PS4 is an offline machine... Ps3 emulator on the Ps4 will be online. How is this not clear at all? :| don't go to college please... it's hard enough teaching new things to students.. it turns out imposible to teach the obvious.

mine's is a slim.. the phat PS3 was too ugly to buy... idk where people put that thing... anyhow I always keep my consoles.... still have my clear gameboy pocket! but back to the point.. you really shouldn't trade in a console if you wanna go back to playing it. 

Gaikai is optional. What MS was doing wasn't optional. Second, you don't have to pay for your games a second time, that's also optional. Since neither system is going to have BC then it would be smart to keep your old systems to play your old games. Don't be an idiot, TC. Stop trying to troll.

Did you complain when the Wii didn't offer to play Nes, Snes, 64, or Gamecube games? How about the Wii U: cry that it didnt allow you to play Nes, Snes, 64 or Gamecube games. And speaking about HD collections, can anyone say Windwaker?

This is why you keep your old consoles now. I'm keeping my ps3 for ps3 games. Will use my ps4 for ps4 games. Both consoles can co exist at the same time. If your an Xbox fan, I'd suggest keeping your 360 for Playing 360 games.

Gaikai isn't for the PS3 owners who already own what ever games, to "transfer" them to their PS4s. It's for the people who didn't have any previous Playstation system, as a means to buy and play older games on the PS4.

If you already have PS3 games, keep the PS3 and play it on that.
