Ugh. Fable, I don't know if I hate this or Killzone more.DaysAirlines
Not trying to be rude or anything, but do you just dislike the games because they were "flops" by Gamespot System Wars standards? I haven't played Killzone or anything, but I hear some good things about the game, and I think Fable is a great game and it got a very good score. I went in not knowing any of the hype or promises because I didn't look deeply into the game since I didn't have an Xbox at the time. Fable was the reason I bought an Xbox and its a great game.
And I watched that half hour long interview with Molyneaux...not sure if that is how you spell it but...I really liked the video. I like the whole dog mechanic, and then how you can buy every building and each has a quest with it is pretty cool. I'm hoping the final build will be open free-roam, not small areas like Fable 1. If Fable 2 can do that, I'll be a happy camper.

What I liked about it was all the ideas Molenyuex promised, not the game itself.WTF is up with all the Fable Hate, i mean it did score a 8.6 and thats a damn good score in my book. It's funny how Fable did not live up to the promises that where made but still got a 8.6 if they pull it all off in Fable 2 then god it should score "AAAAA"Citizen_Zero
That's just it. Fable was promised a lot of things, and as a end result, we got a slashed version of it. I dunno. I'm sure Fable 2 is going to correct all those mistakes from the first one. Add more, with 720p, good stuff. Now...how about that co-op multiplayer? Yes, it's wishful thinking but it'd be pretty sweet to have something like this with a game this big.
Ugh. Fable, I don't know if I hate this or Killzone more.DaysAirlinesDid you even watch the vid, Its really cool and looking great! Only somebody who likes to hate would say that! I think Fable here scored 8.6, and Killzone 6.7, didn't it? Can't anybody have a discussion about games without hate, sheesh!

But still, that shouldn't make you dislike the game, just the director/developer of the game. Take everything he says with a grain of salt with this game, and who knows, you might just be pleasantly surprised. :D

I think Fable 2 is going to be everything an RPG fan dreams of! The dog looks really good at this point, the animations and everything are great. I expect Fable 2 to be one of the best games of 08'! I'm really stoked for a Next Gen Game like this!
The dog system in this game is lame.DaysAirlinesIt's a familiar. It seems to be smarter than a farmiliar, though. I think it could be a good addition... I have to admit, when a pet (and only a dog) was the big thing unvailed about Fable 2... I was disappointed. I wanted something REALLY big.
One think about his games are he always wants to add these new cool things and they take so much time they cut out the normal content. That is probably why fable is such a tiny world and the shortest RPG I have ever played in my life. Sure add the dog and the family and whatever in but KEEP IT LONG. I want a nice big open world not some fenced off paths and not a 5-6 hour quest I want a 40+ hour quest and then 10+ hours of side quests.darklord888I think that'll happen on 360, did you see How Bowertown changed from a town, to a HUGE CITY! This game is atleast going to 30+ Hours on the main quest alone!

and please no smart ass remarks about Molyneux not living up to the hype of Fable 1, if you watch the entire interview he says near the end there are no reasons for excuses this time, and He really wants to give the fans of the first game something Great in Fable2!

what else would you expect him to say? here's some junk but please buy it?
He wants you to feel love? Err...it's a video game. :? Sure in some games you like characters and thats why if they die or something it's a "OMG!" moment but love? Yeah I think i'll marry an NPC in fable and love them. Right. :?darklord888
I think a better word he could have used instead of "love" is "emotion." He wants the game to be emotionally powerful. I agree to an extent about how you feel that you can't love something or someone in a video game, but you can become emotionally attached with that character due to involvement with the character or how the A.I. displays how they act.
I actually wrote about how Fable 2 could be emotionally powerful in my blog just now, and I don't feel like typing it all again. But instead, I'll use two examples of emotionally powerful moments in games due to the attachment of video games.
This probably doesn't have to have the tags anymore, but when Aerith is killed in FFVII. You see Cloud and Aerith develop this bond, but she is then killed by Sephiroth. Sad...

In Shadow of the Colossus, you use your horse A LOT. You use him to ride to all the Colossi throughout the game, and the ride to the final Colossus was no exception. But, something was different about this time. You go over a gap onto a bridge, and the bridge begins to crumble. You make the final leap, but your horse (can't remember the name, sorry) doesn't make the gap and falls down the "ravine" if you want to call it that.
Fable scored AAA on some sites and almost AAA on this Gamespot, Fable is a good game Fable 2 only to be better. Mabe Peter didn't put some of the things he said he was gonna in fable but with fable 2 so far from what he has said and everything he has proven with Video.
Killzone barley made the rating boards and not to be compared to Fable.
WTF is up with all the Fable Hate, i mean it did score a 8.6 and thats a damn good score in my book. Fable was so sh** that Peter Molunx(spelling) apologized after the release of Fable that it suc*** bad

Also what does sales have to do with anything, by the way here is a hint... Ps2 sold 100mill + every game that comes out for it sells 2mill... its kinda different with xbox's 15mill sold.... also Peter apologized for over hyping things that did't make it to the game.... but i did't expect u to get that right after u got everything eles wrong....

yes that .4 differance is huge...good point but there's something diiferent between the games. unlike fable 1 all the ff games are awesome....nathansarroAccording to Gamerankings, Fable scored higher then 44% of all Final Fantasy RPGs. Fable's average - 85% Final Fantasy RPGs scoring less then 85% - 8/18 = 44%. Since I can't link you Gameranking's search results, feel free to search it up yourself.

But ofcourse, you have a point, the first Fable was too short, hoping it will last a little longer atleast.

RPG's are slower paced, more story driven and are normally 30+.
