[QUOTE="Redfingers"]It looks, honestly, terrible. Nothing like I expected. I really hope it gets up to snuff and becomes a quality title like most upper-end 360 games.Cubs360
This game will surpass most 360 games!

I suspect it will, in time. But there is nothing impressive about the material in this thread.

How so? I just think your a PS fanboy!

I think you're just willing to accept a stupid idea. The guy below your post put it eloquently: "It's a familiar." It indeed is. Therefore, nothing unique, nothing interesting. Have you ever played Azure Dreams? Pokemon Yellow version? This game is already pwned. Plus summoned meat shields have been in use forever. Example: refer to any Blizzard game. The "love" concept is the only stupid thing about it. I don't want to be forced to have a dog. Blizzard realizes this...that's why you don't HAVE to have a Valkyrie as a bowazon or HAVE to have a meatshield as a necromancer. Oh, you can leave your puppy behind, but you're really "a heartless bastard if you do it." That's the idea. I don't want to feel guilty about having a choice. The last thing I want in my games in an emotional investment. What, do I want to play the friggin' Notebook or something in game form? Give me a break. This is a step backwards for the promising Fable franchise. I hope this guy leaves and another, more aspiring visionary takes his place and takes this title in the right direction. He's weighing the entire project down.

It's a familiar.

It seems to be smarter than a farmiliar, though. I think it could be a good addition... I have to admit, when a pet (and only a dog) was the big thing unvailed about Fable 2... I was disappointed. I wanted something REALLY big.

Maybe your dog can get bigger...like a sheep dog. Wouldn't that be awesome? Then maybe your sheep dog can grow horns...and maybe it can find female dogs, marry them, and have a litter of puppies. And maybe your sheep dog can wear armor and shoot fireballs. Problem solved. THIS GAME IS AWESOME!

I really like what they are doing with the dog. Even the pre-alpha showed very realistic behaviors. I also like that it will be used as a guide and that it will never actually weigh you down (don't need to feed it, won't automatically attack enemies when you are trying to sneek, doesn't require any commands)....

Peter actually said that they dog will change depending on how you act.... he said that it will eventually start to resemble yo, too. Its behaviors will change depending on your actions as well..

Doesn't require any commands, meaning no tactical significance, won't need to feed it, meaning non-realistic. I think what you meant is that it appears to show very realistic animations.

I want my dog to wear armor and shoot fireballs. I accept nothing less.

Was the dog the big secret? As cool as it could be, that's pretty disappointing. Molyneux said something like "none of the designers wanted to work on it" because it was so ambitious, which makes me think there is more to come.

All those are just glimspes anyway, the game is far far away still, and the fact that it is so amazing already makes it a AAA title, and a very strong AAAA candidate

You can always leave that bloody dog injured and never manage to follow you, so no big deal

[QUOTE="DaysAirlines"]Ugh. Fable, I don't know if I hate this or Killzone more.Zassimick

Not trying to be rude or anything, but do you just dislike the games because they were "flops" by Gamespot System Wars standards?  I haven't played Killzone or anything, but I hear some good things about the game, and I think Fable is a great game and it got a very good score.  I went in not knowing any of the hype or promises because I didn't look deeply into the game since I didn't have an Xbox at the time.  Fable was the reason I bought an Xbox and its a great game.

And I watched that half hour long interview with Molyneaux...not sure if that is how you spell it but...I really liked the video.  I like the whole dog mechanic, and then how you can buy every building and each has a quest with it is pretty cool.  I'm hoping the final build will be open free-roam, not small areas like Fable 1.  If Fable 2 can do that, I'll be a happy camper.

That woman in your sig is bomb...who is she?

Anyway, Killzone scored pretty darn low its first time out.  This is not to say, of course, that Killzone 2 is destined to meet the same fate, but a prequel is about all we have to go by when discussing a sequel, no?

Either way, Fable 2 looks very ambitious--and I have to say that Peter Molyneux is one strange dude...which might very well be a good sign.
