If that's your opinion, fine. My hype for this game has gone down.EuroMafia
What hype ? I barely knew the game until MS day, but after those previews seems easilly more exiting than any game coming
I'm honestly not excited at all about Fable 2. Fable was OK at best. I think Fable 2 will end up scrapping a lot of the features that sound interesting, just like what happened in Fable. I do not trust Molyneax at all. AvIdGaMeR444
Everything is in this time, there is nothing "scrapped" we are mere months from release, and they have reconfirmed everything in MS day
So, it sounds more like wishfull thinking of a PS3 fanboy that will fail to deliver as you put it, the game is delivering simply everyhting, even co-op

What Saolin said, it does look pretty awesome.
:|!!!!! 10 million people? There was only 1000 NPC's in Oblivion...I wanna see how big this game is.
I loved the first game so I'm really looking forward to playing it.Popadophalis
The first was nice indeed, but this seems leaps and bounds more amazing

most of those feature's that were taking out in fable were never in the game. they were only ideas Molyneax HOPED could make it into the game. This time we are actually getting previews and reading about the hyped features that are already in the game.
so..im giving peter a break.

Well, they are definatly more experienced now, have MS backup and money behind them, and the xbox360 harwdare that let's them do a host more than the xbox back then
Lets just hope this dog doesn't share the same fate as the one in I am Legend.:cry:DireOwl
What fate would that be ?
[QUOTE="justforlotr2004"][QUOTE="TheSystemLord1"][QUOTE="thrones"][QUOTE="TheSystemLord1"]Fable 2 is easily one of my most anticipated games this year. But the main question I have does not seem to be answered.
Are we getting a seam-less Oblivion/Morrowind-esque game world? Or a world like Fable 1 that is divided into zones...
I seriously hope its the former...
thrones
Though I can't link you (totally forgot) I was watching an interview with Peter Molyneux, he said the world is split into 20 large zones which you travel between.
*sigh*
Hype downgraded, still want the game though.
You can go off path in those zones now so you got way more freedom than you did in Fable 1.
Each of those areas are very large. The world is 20->30x bigger than Fable 1. It's not a path, just a large area. They can't have a full open world you know, the X360 hardware can only take to much! Molyneux mentioned that cacheing to the HDD was impossible so this was the workaround.
Oblivion cached to HDD on 360 and and Fallout 3 will be aswelldoes anybody know if the Co-op is only through xbox live, or is there also going to be split screen?opex07
You are both on the full screen. The camera pans out the farther apart you get and zooms in the closer you get. Thats the only form of co-op that has been announced, but peter said he gots some big info regarding online at E3.

I never even heard of Fable untill I borrowed it from my brother after it came out. I was completely unaware of the hype surrounding it untill quite awhile after playing it. It ended up being my favorite game for the original Xbox and one of my favorite games last gen overall. I borrowed it for a few months played the hell out of it, gave it back and got Lost Chapters when it came out and I've beaten it probably over a half dozen times by itself. I've done everything there was to do and I still pull it out every now and then. It was an amazing game. I dont care that it didn't fullfill any promises, I can see with my own eyes the gameplay vids and vidocs for Fable 2 and it looks to be good on all its promises. Cant wait for October.Ket87
Exactly, Fable was a great game, you could even collect books and have a techer read them to kids !!! the details in that game were amazing, and Fable 2 is its next gen 100% confirmed to deliver everything form, with evolving cities, interuptable cut scenes you can influence and a host other things, plus the ability to have family, jobs, and own the whole world
What this game tries is unthinkable imo

Thats why it will end up failing to achieve whats being promised... but it will still be a good game !!

Most features are confirmed 100% in videos and by journalists now, so i guess they have got the unbelievable in that game
Sounds great on paper. Lets see the final product. TOo bad i won't be getting it though.Cedmln
Why not ?

lol...I don't even own a PS3. I'm actually hoping that Fable 2 is great. Molyneax failed to deliver the goods in Fable 1. Before I began posting in the forums here, I lurked around and read a lot of stuff about the original Fable. Mere weeks before its release, some people were claiming they played it and got 100 hours worth of gameplay from it. And most people here believed that. Molyneax just weeks before the release reiterated that Fable is the "best RPG ever made". He said that. And I fell into the hype like a lot of people. So, I'm sorry if I can't get all giddy over Fable 2. I have my doubts. Maybe all the features will make it in this time like has been stated, but that still doesn't mean it will be as "good" as people are envisioning this game to be. I cannot get hyped for this game...and maybe that is for the best. If I play Fable 2 with very low expectations, then hopefully, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I understand your fears, but whatever the case, they have shown stuff now, and what they have said has directly or through journalists be 100% confirmed, also consider Fable was their first ever RPG, the fact that they hyped it and did not deliver back then on xbox, does not mean that they won't delive again, with a vastly more powerfull next gen machine to work with, the experience in RPG's they have got and the comment they got from people, plus the added benefit of MS money backup
Different games, diffeent hardware, funding, etc etc, it is like saying Killzone 2 has no chance to be good because Killzone 1 was terrible or something

And Killzone 2 doesn't have a chance. There would be no hype without the three year old pre-rendered trailer. Oh well, at least there is some improvement, you can jump now.

1. I am not responding to trolls
2. If i said you are Jorge Bush, what would you answer with ? Or would you respond at all ?
3. Is it a habit of yours to derail threads like that, by posting various staff about who you think new users are ?
Fable 2 one of my most hyped games :)
ff-leader
Stop saying that, you will confuse Talon, ands think you are "Saoilin" :)
Somehow this PS3 fanboy thinks there is only one person on earth that is hyped for Fable 2, even though it is one of the most innovative huge coming titles, and overshadow almost every other RPG imo
And even though Fable 1 had some HUGE sales
I suggest he should go back to hyping the boring LBP and the almost non existent, full of 10 hour games PS3 lineup of 2008
Everyone knows you are Saolin. Also Fable 2 is a 10 hour action adventure with a talking dog.
This imo is not a formula for a great game.
If you ask me it would be more in your hero Peters interest to worry less about 'evolving' towns and more about giving people a decent main campaign.

Are you kidding ? Fable 2 is 100+ hours, and multiple times that because of the huge replayability
Are you a RPG hater or something ? In which case why do you think anyone is interested in your opinion ?
Oblivion main campaign was 10 hours also, i did not see anyone worry about that

I believe he's quite the opposite. For example I don't even take Oblivion as an RPG, if it was, it would be a sucky one. What's an RPG without choices? Oh yes, JRPG.
