Fable 2 - no online co-op at launch ?

It's not the same. This generation we are seeing games shipped unfinished, and people are accepting that.

Well, the core game is completely finished. It's just co-op mode is shipped a week later. Oh well, guys. Some people are making a mountain out of an ant hill.

It's just the idea that we are seeing this trend of unfinished games. I was looking forward to starting Fable 2 with a friend, and now it's just going to sit there until I the patch is up. I could go ahead with out him, but we already set up the mandate (Fable Bromance, if you will). Going ahead and leveling up without him is cheating (on him).

Who the hell cares if the games online co-op comes a week late? I sure don't. This is hardly a big deal. People here are acting like 50% of the features are being cut from the final product.

Depends on the day it comes.. I mean if you play 3 hours a day you can probably beat the main story pretty quick. 3 hours a day isn't even much.

Looks like Lionhead actually have a lot in common with Sony. Always making, and breaking promises.

It doesn't matter for either game, because if you play online wit heither game it's going to tell you to update, and if you don't then the online features have no use to you, still disappointing for both games IMO.

Now that console games can be updated with a patch, most devs (not all) have become more lazy, I guess.

I don't mind waiting for new features. I just get really upset when I buy a game, and it's completely broken and have to wait for a patch to come out. There is no excuse for that.

lol at anyone thinking Molyneax would deliver as promised. It is always the pattern with Molyneax these days. Even with supposed "proof" that everything would be in the game as promised at launch, this happens. This is why I can never trust him. Times change.... learn that or get left behind. Your preconceived notions about what Consoles are or are not, don't mean anything to the rest of the world.

Consoles weren't always able to produce 3D visuals either... did you get your panties in a bunch when the jump to 3D happened?

The ability to download patches or updates to games, only means that you can have a more complete experience.... and in cases like this, still have the game earlier rather than later.

The reason they are doing this is the following:

Is this the first time you've heard of a titles release date being pushed back? Only now... instead of waiting a week or 2 for the game... you're waiting a week or 2 for a feature. I'd say your panties are in a bunch only because others are going to be playing the game while you are waiting for Online Co-op so you can play with your buddy.

wrong.... the pub games come with the game and therefore would have already been fixed.

No, it's because this TREND doesn't stop here. It keeps going, and it's getting worse. What are we to expect 3 years from now. They don't want to miss the holiday season, and aren't ready.

Forget Fable, I don't think this, "We'll fix it later attitude" is good for gamers.

And yeah, I don't like feeling like I'm left behind while others are leveling up.

On top of that, you can still chat and trade with your friends (orbs). Seriously, people are and will make a bigger deal out of this than they should.

That sucks. Specially after showcasing it so much, but atleast they are patching it as soon as possible.

LBP wasn't showcasing Online co-op creation at any point (well i haven't seen any videos where they do). The thing was that people assumed it would come with online co-op creation. What they did show was offline co-op creation.

LBP will get patched with various features along the road (according to MM). So you can say that the game was planned to be released unfinished all along. Hohoho.

Meanwhile Fable 2 was showcasing online co-op, like the big thing for the game.

That's the difference.

Anyways both games are getting patched. So like i stated earlier, no need to worries.
