Dammit...just like the first one.
This game better have a butt-load of sidequests. I want to get my money's worth.

Wow, that is mighty short, just like Mass Effect. This is the problem when a dev concentrates a lot on visuals and presentation, it just takes far too many resources away from making a long experience, offering less time for story and character progression. The side quests in fable are probably as inspiriing as Mass Effects too...At 10 hours for the main story line, a ton of people can now easily rent this thing and save the 60 bucks.
Thinking in my head, the RPG of last year being redone for this year called The Witcher can easily give you 30 hours of decent storyline, and up to 60 or 70 if you fully explore the game. If anyone is looking for a deep RPG, get the Witcher, so long as your PC isn't from 2002.
Too short for an RPG. Flop confirmed.Hitman533
Oblivion's main story quest can be beaten in two hours, using tricks, or four hours playing the game normally. Is that a flop, too?

Good thing it's a Lulz Inducing Action-Adventure Game (LIAAG) and not an RPG then, eh?

Yet the first one had a main story of 2.5 hours and that got 8's and 9's.
[QUOTE="Lionheart08"]Like I said in another thread, as long as there is a crap load of extras, I could care less.Ilived
You mean you couldn't care less. Also, yeah there is. I remember reading from Gameinformer where they mentioned the game to be almost as long as Oblivion.
Composition is my weakest subject. :P
2 words:
Speed Run
and theres plenty to do outside main quest
C-Lee
A ten hour speedrun.
10^100 hour game confirmed
:P
Main quest 10 hours...sidequest and everything else = 100+ hours. Peter did mention that if the person would play the first Fable the same way, he/she would finish it in a couple of ours.IlivedIDK about you..but even with the sidequests fable 1 only lasted me about 15 hours

I agree 100%. That hands-on preview by GS scared me alittle. Even tho they praised it, it seems like the game will play the same as the first one.

When you own someone like you just did, it is customary to say 'In ya face fool!'.
Because they may actually thing your question was a real question instead of a blatant display or their ignorance.
I hope Lionhead release lots of DLC for the game. I pre-ordered the special edition to get the exclusive extra content(a couple of weapons and quests), but I know that won't be enough for me. Going to beat this game 10 times like I did with the first one. The only game I've wanted to beat more than once...that's how much I love it. I guess you can call me a Fable fanboy.Ilived
Fable Fanboy! Fable Fanboy!...what? you said we could :P

Could care less is just fine.Digest what "I should be so lucky" means. Same thing IMO. Both are being sarcastic somewhat.
IN any event. I'm not a huge sidequest person, but then again don't have time for a 30-40 hour rpg game. But 12 seems so short.
I'd rather have 10 hours of plot in which my actions do matter than 120 hours of Dawson's Creek in which my actions in the long run doesn't alter the story in any way.
Have you ever heard of unity of effect?
Edgar Allan Poe never wrote a novel, he mainly wrote many short stories, because he wanted his short stories to be read in one uninterrupted to take to achieve the highest degree of intensity summed up in "unity of effect" notion. Why people can't look at it this way? And I guess no one would discuss this matter with me.
