I am having trouble following this event, I thought everything started on the 19th but sony had a conference on the 18th.

9:48 -- Attempts to push back the girls were embarrassingly unsuccessful.

9:56 -- We're still waiting outside and the over-caffeinated press corps is getting twitchy. Doesn't look like this is giong to start on time.

10:00 -- Uh oh, the lights just went out outside the conference room. Dramatic effect? Diversion? Or did the tech crew blow a fuse?

10:02 -- The lights flickered back on and the doors to the press conference opened. I'm inside, front row.

10:04 -- Flanking the main stage area are several banners, some adorned with eagles that look somewhat sinister, and others with crowns that look more regal.

The main video screen has Lionhead Studios' logo on it with the text Microsoft / Lionhead press conference written at the top.

10:05 -- Other than that it's not really that fancy a setup. I'm actually disappointed there aren't the traditional flashing green lights and pulsing techno music.

The fanciest thing on the stage, aside from the video screen, is a coffee cup on a table and a few glass water bottles sticking out of an ice bowl.
