Fable 3....Compulsive chicken-kickers, Update.. No Kinect at Launch.

I am getting more & more pumped for this game - I'm thinking it's going to be a blast and Peter's best game yet - chicken kicken FTW. :twisted:

Fable III's Intro Cinematic Flies The Coop

Fable 3 may have been one of the earliest games to be confirmed to work with Kinect (then called Natal), but speaking on the Engadget Show, Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux has revealed that whatever Kinect functionality they originally had planned won't be in the game at launch.

Joystiq reports that following Molyneux's Engadget Show appearance, they questioned him about this revelation, to which he responded their original concept for Kinect controls in Fable 3 (which Molyneux has never actually detailed) just wasn't shaping up well enough to include in the game for its retail release. He evidently said Kinect support "may" be added later, but that oddly seems to leave open the possibility that Kinect support may just be scrapped altogether.

A Microsoft representative further explained that although Molyneux has promised Kinect support for the game in the past, they're unable to talk about how Kinect would work with Fable 3 "at this time."

Fable 3 is set for release on the Xbox 360 on October 26 -- just over a week before Kinect launches in North America on November 4.

After this summer's Toy Stoy 3 and Inception people can't wait to dive into a mediocre story again and save the entire world from utter darkness. Couple that with incredible boring gameplay and we have a recipe for an outstanding horrible game.

I am so excited to not get this game, I can't wait.

Funny enough, If you check out my GS on it, you'll see i've spent more than enough time trying to get everything. Getting all those collectibles, phew.

Must have been a really bad game if i played it for that long.

I get it, you don't need to prove you like the game to me, you just didn't make it apparent in you're first two posts, I'm only arguing that the series isn't a sham, & is worthy of the praise it has received from critics.

I disagree. I not only think it's a "sham",I think it's a 7/10 game at best. The first game was far better in pretty much every aspect.

Lol, yeah it is. When a developer promises things. And then doesn't put them in his game? What is that?I'll tell you, empty promises All the complaints I made are valid points. Plus I never said the game was bad. So when your ready to show the post when i said it was a horrible/bad game. im ready. The game is alright. But it just lacks so much.

Let me ask you this. If nothing was promised, would you have rated Fable 2 higher? Say a game like Uncharted 2 was promised to be a lot more, yet ended up the same as it is, still better than most similar games on the market, would it not be worthy of the critical acclaim it's received? You're faulting Fable 2 on broken promises, not on the game itself?

I disagree. I not only think it's a "sham",I think it's a 7/10 game at best. The first game was far better in pretty much every aspect.

Extremely well made, well thought out trailer with a good meaning.

I still have 0 interest in buying the game though.

Yeah but when the developer worries too much on the promise it causes his game to lack. Because he's too worried about what he could put in, instead of putting in actual work. Like seriously. If nothing was promised I would've looked at it differently. But there was a lot promised. And practically none of it delivered. but wait they didn't promise anything and delivered. Plain and simple.

I mean granted there are still some issues. The lack of a final Boss battle, the lack of death without penalty & mainly how easy it can be at times. I would still complain about those but the other things would'nt even exist if I hadn't expected them from PM
