FACT : Sony rarely delievers when it comes to hype

That's just ridiculous. If you have a quality game to play you win. Who cares if it's run into the ground with sequels? Fresh IP is better than lackluster sequels for a cash grab.

Seriously WTF are you talking about MS only talks about revenue and not a good look? Microsoft makes billions and Sony literally is posting loses for billions. Sony is forecasting $2.1 billion loss this fiscal year. Sony's credit rating is literally junk status by 2/3 of the major credit raters and the third one is about to put Sony as junk status also.

So what are all these retail games that have been announced for 2015 from Sony? I mean lets be honest Sony is well known for showing games far before they will come out for example GT or The Last Guardian. Phil Spencer just said there are too many X1 games for 2015 they may be forced to push some back.

Come up with any excuse you want but what he said then even holds true right now. The PS4 has the worst retail library yet it obviously still sells because like I said before they know their fanbase do not care. You all will not only buy the console but praise the hell out of it even without games. That is why he said that because he knows you.

Sony's gaming division is healthier than MS'. Unfortunately Sony is too diversified and needs to scale it back. On the other hand the Sony investors aren't calling for the console division to be removed as they are in MS land. Of the two I think MS is the most likely to jump ship. Nonetheless......I don't joy in people losing their jobs. Why do you?

That is when the hype started? I disagree. Even though I think PS4 is struggling, Sony usually meets or exceeds the hype. The original Playstation was an amazing console and they overtook Nintendo as market leader--I'd say that is exceeding the hype. The follow up console is considered by many as the best home game console of all time. Sony helped pioneer the digital filmmaking revolution. Sony makes the best lcd tvs. Sonys entire product line screams of quality. Even their budget priced gaming headsets exceed expectations given the low price point.

It is a shame that Vita got butchered.

There are people who are hyping up The Order? Goodness gracious. I'm usually a fan of Sony's stuff, and even I can tell the game looks like garbage. it'd be lucky to get a 6/10

If the thread had been 'All games rarely deliver on the hype' you would have a point. As it stands you sound like you cuddle and kiss your Xbox One in bed and hate Sony with a vengeance which is not only pointless but incredibly immature. 1. In your list of xbox games that supposedly delivered on the AAA "hype" (halo/forza/gears) it's only 8 games, yet you said Sony and MS are tied when your PS3 list clearly has 9 games. NOT tide.

2. You also left off a few PS3 games that delivered on AAA "hype"

So even before correcting your omissions you were wrong about MS and Sony being tied in AAA games going by metacritic. Let's put in the tally to show how the AAA line ups really pan out.

PS3 = 13 AAA >>> 360 (Halo/forza/gears) 8! And Sony did it in one year's less time than MS had.

Not only did Sony deliver more AAA games throughout the span of the generation and in less time, they also did it over a more diverse genre poll with more new unproven IPs.

For a LONG time the order was hyped, and hyped hard. I kept telling everyone that you shouldn't hype a game on a non-gameplay trailer. If you want I can go find a bunch of threads (including one where prominent posters on the board swore to me the hype would be AAA) if you really want but I don't think anyone cares any more. The Order is the absolute prime example of not hyping a game until you see actual gameplay footage.

well hype doesnt have to based on anything substantial. for example, if someone flashed the title KOTOR 3 for 2016 xb1, ps4, pc . It wouldnt matter that it was just the title, i'm going to go nuts with hype. same can be said if half life 3 had an announcement.

Those aren't new IP's though and they come from studios with a long history so its a bit different ...

well this thread pointless I mean yes ps4 has no games and that seems to be a gimmick, but real talk now:

Out of all current gen titles, PS4 selling the most software so someone likes them and they are delivering.

I am an avid 360 gamer and even I got the ps4. It's a better overall system. As for library goes for ps4/xbox one they are both weak for being out 1 year. I like infamous SS and loving the Last of us remastered right now. The xbox one has nothing for me right now. The MCC is just remastered games I played years ago and don't care for Sunset overdrive. I have forza horizon 2 on my 360 so don't need to play it on the bone.
