Fable 2.

Fallout 3 is a disgrace to the Fallout name.

EDIT: I forgot to say that Fable is one of my favorites of all time, I didn't care for what was promised, instead what was there to play.

I wish you put a neither option.

Fable 2: made by Molyneux, the guy who promise you the earth, but ultimatly fail to deliver in every single game he made so far.

Fallout 3: Made by a bunch of people who think gameplay is a lot more important than the story for a fallout game...

Fable 2. It doesn't have the fanboys in an uproar about how its the anti-christ of the original. Unlike Fallout 3 and its rabid fanbase.

Fallout 3. I think it's a disgrace to the originals, but despite that, I think it'll be a pretty good game.

Is there a "none of the above" option? Because that would be my choice.

Fable 2. I loved the first Fable, so its sequel is an obvious buy since it is taking nearly everything that the first game was and improving upon it. Fallout 3 looks like it'll be a pretty good game, but it won't really be a Fallout game, and its not as "guaranteed awesome" as Fable 2 is. I'll still have to watch how Fallout 3 comes along to know if I'm really interested. Fable 2, however, is a first-day purchase for me.

I'm betting Fallout 3. Bethesda has a history of releasing great games, and I'm not expecting this to be their first miss. Oh, and watching all of the Fallout fanatics pop a blood vessel over the game is tremendous entertainment in itself.

Fallout 3 is going to be destroyed by the original fans. I can just see it now. It might be a good game but it shouldn't have the Fallout name.

Fable 2 since I'm a big Fable fan. They're both labeled RPGs but they couldn't really be more different. I'm looking forward to both.

Yes, it is my favorite game ever, and I would *kill* for Torment to be given the incredible chance that Fallout fans are too pigheaded to recognize. Your dead franchise, which died because of lack of consumer interest more or less, is being given a pop-culture revival. Yes, the game that causes the revival won't be what you want - but the fact that the franchise is being given a second chance, a second chance to become really popular... Look around at the RPG world - it's not uncommon for popular series to have spinoffs and expansion packs and all sorts of different iterations released in their worlds. If you guys luck out and this game you hate so much does really well, someone else might later pick up the torch that Black isle dropped long ago - but without a company like Bethesda being there to breath some financial life back into the franchise, that chance will never be.

You guys do nothing but complain about the only chance you'll ever have of seeing a new "true" Fallout game. I only wish Planescape had the same chance, and can't help but laugh at you guys trying to shoot the best gift-horse a Fallout fan could get at this point in the franchise's existence.

Having said that, they're one of the most well-spoken group of 'rabid fanboys' I've ever seen, and they've got excellent taste in video games.

Back on topic...as disappointing as Oblivion was, I can't see Fallout 3 being a bad game. Sure, it won't be as good as the classics, but it'll still be better than most recent RPGs.

Torment is my favourite game ever, too, and I would *kill* to prevent Bethesda from reviving it. It's just totally unlike anything Bethesda have ever done - I can't see it going well.

The Fallout series only died after they began making spin-off gamesm which were more action oriented (Fallout: Tactics) and console-based (Brotherhood of Steel) - neither of those games were as popular as the real Fallout RPGs, nor were they anywhere near as good.

As for the chance of someone else picking up the torch...that's not going to happen. Sure, the franchise may become popular again, but only to a new crowd who love Bethesda's interpretation of the Fallout universe. Also, it's not like anyone else can take up the torch - if the game turns out to be successful, Bethesda will just start churning out sequels, expansion packs, and overpriced downloadable content every few years.

Eh, you read Plato's accounts of the trial of Socrates and everyone is very well spoken there too... Doesn't make them any less pig-headed idiots.

If you were a fan of (in my opinion) one of the greatest games ever, Mechwarrior II: Mercenaries, you'd realize that miracle revivals like I"m suggesting do happen - in that case in the form of Mechwarrior IV: Mercenaries. Incredible game, and gave an old fan of the series one final hail mary before the limbo the series is in now... And that's after changing development houses twice, and a Mechwarrior 3 came out that was garbage in my opinion, and utter trash like Mech Commander.

I'm not going to argue with someone who simply believes it can't happen - I've SEEN it happen. If said people are too pigheaded to see the chance for such indirect revivals, their fanboyism and immaturity in the face of someone else playing with their toys is blinding them - however well spoken they are.

Fallout 3 looks like the better game so far i'm not even that interested in Fable 2 especially after the first one and I don't really care about the fallout franchise or the past games. This one looks fun to me and that is all that matters it can be a disgrace to PC gaming and fallout itself and i'll still play it because it looks like a fun and interesting game. Oh yea and I like Oblivion it was overrated and overhyped but I liked it.

A shooter versus an action-RPG? What kind of comparison is this?
