Fallout 4 Character Building System actually looks epic,

It looks leagues ahead of the casual Skyrim, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 systems.

(Also best on PC, so this is SW material now (and it's also the truth))

The character building system is more complicated than anything in Witcher3, Bloodborne, and even Pillars of Eternity.....

It has infinite combinations and builds.

What don't you like about Fo4?

@-God-: Really? It seems to me like your typical stepwise unlock of abilities. "gain 1 point" LOL

That "Gain 1 point" was 1 out of 7 SPECIAL, after that you put a perk in corresponding to it.

1. Each one of those points are tied to 10 perks with multiple ranks...resulting in 270 different perks all which do very unique things for making very specific builds.

2. There are no steps and it isn't a tree. You can pick the 10th Charimsa perk at level 1 as long as you built your character with 10 Charisma. Completely different than Skyrim or FO3, which were very watered down in this regard.

Looks like it's hip to hate on Bethesda and Fallout.

Personally I think it'll be a good fun game with loads of content (once it's working properly) especially with years of mod support.

Yet it'll outsell any BGS game before it on PC.

It has almost as much specialization as Morrowind.

It's ahead of the last 3 BGS games. If anyone hates on Fo4 its more so them trying to be trendy/hip, rather than objectively stating why.

Frankly I'm amazed they didn't cut the special system like they cut attributes in skyrim. Maybe there's some hope elder scrolls 6 won't be further dumbed down to nothing but a health bar after all.

I'm not. I'm fucking hype for Fallout 4 and my PC as well. Not saying it's GOTY but that title still goes to Witcher 3. As for Character Building System, I already know what my character build will be.

So ready for this game... Just wish it had a co-op option.

But how? Most big texture mods will not work on consoles, and it will have lower settings/fps.

I'm sure little garbage mods will work on consoles. Don't expect the good ones.

Starting off at 30 fps (with probable dips) isn't going to be pretty.

The lack of horsecocks swaying to and fro at 60fps is indeed regrettable.

Will be a lot better in two years when the mod community fixes the issues and bugs.

Looking forward to playing it. It will be a lot of fun to explore. Don't care about the RPG crap. Just give a fun game to play with a lot of quality content.

Whats wrong with it? The only complaint I see is the graphics are not the best they could be. As long as the gameplay and toolset is good then who cares.

I really like how some new perks are hidden in higher ranks of the perks you see on the chart. You have access to almost any 1-star perk right from jump street... opens up a lot of options right off the bat. IMO this is sooooo much better than following scripted molds, as in at lvl 2 everyone takes this perk, at lvl 4 you have to get this perk.

This really looks solid with plenty of build varieties... and good perks for different role plays too. Top it all off... no lvl cap! Cant wait!

At least they didn't f*ck up this part, at first glance they completely upgraded it. Let's just hope the rest of the game follows suit.

Definately looks better than those horrible perk trees. Should make each level and perk pick interesting rather than making players pick a perk just to get to the cooler ones later down the road.

That said, why does a charisma perk increase carrying cap by 50 and grant a 15% damage reduction per perk rank?

You can max every perk in the game.

And stat.

They said there is no level cap.

Not that there is no soft cap. You will eventually run out of quests and content. You will likely hit a wall, estimated level 50-70.

That is only 70~ out of 280 perks.

Everything they show about this game looks worse and worse.

Why do they keep making their games shallower and dumber?

An action game with basic stats and extremely limited dialogue does not an RPG make.

Thats a lone wanderer perk... only activates when you have no companion. I think the charisma choice has to do more with the loner status... and they had to give you a carrying buff if you dont have your mules.

Strong Back is still under strength.

On a side note... Charisma looks like its pretty good this time. Will need at least five to get that killer Party Animal perk.

Exactly. Even if it doesn't look terrible at first glance, it'll be piss easy and let you become a great at everything. Like all Beth's bullshit aimed at teens/casuals who want to BE and do EVERYTHING at ALL TIMES.
