so what.. this game is so old now its amazing it isn't already on there... I mean, whilst i love it, i doubt i would bother replaying it. especially as i have a save file somewhere with level 99 all characters, all weapons beaten, master materia everything, gold chocolbo, KOTR etc etc...

It looked like they added in the katakana of Final Fantasy in by editing software. It just does not look right, I may of just passed it off, but it being April 1st, raised somequestions.
I hope they bring some graphical upgrades, you know redrawing some of the 2D and making the field models look better FF7 has aged terribly, FF8 also quite badly, the models look okay but the backgrounds are washed out As for FF9, its low res in both models and backgrounds, but that doesnt stop it from being beautiful even today

I mean im not just talking about the quality, but the art direction. There is not a single image in the game that is boring, and even the way the camera is positioned makes every scene feel really immersing. Maybe its because you are playing on a big screen, i played it on a 21" widescreen

Well in FF8, youre right, they are meant to be detailed so now the detail looks crap they have aged badly. Whereas with FF7 the lack of detail makes them look more styalised I disagree though, FF8s models still look WAY better. As for the 2D, its just horrendous in FF7, they are low-res, blurry or washed out and worst of all, sometimes just lack imagination. Most of the times in fact it looks like your characters arent even in them because of how the camera is placed FF8 is a huge step up, but its still no FF9. Its amazing how that game gets so little recognition

Its amazing how that game gets so little recognition Yeah, FF9 was about equal to 7 for me, I really liked it. I wish that the current-gen consoles could emulate the older games they play, better.. I mean we know their capable of a lot, but even a low to mid-range PC can emulate some of these games in a vastly superior manner, in a much higher resolution, so I wish they'd put more time into the console emulators, some things are just embarrassing, like the Sonic Genesis Collection, it has the most basic filter on it.
