Okami was among the best games to appear on the PS2 when it was released. I'm glad they decided to make a sequel, and the DS is quite an appropriate choice. This will undoubtedly be among the DS's top graphics kings, and will probably nail another AAAe for Nintendo's handheld juggernaut.
Sounds good to me. Sure graphics won't be as good but still happy there is a sequel. I do think DS is a good choice too, stylus controls will work good too. All my money is only going to DS games for the rest of the year.

you have the wii, get the Original Okami it's around 20 bucks, my GOTY 06, one of the best games I have ever played...prepare to be amazed multiple times... Then you can get the sequel and prepare to be disappointed multiple times...

Details sound good too. Sure graphics aren't as good, but at least theres a sequel.

Yeah it could...but with handhelds standars.... It's just a missed opportunity and waste of resources
I am surprised, but disturbed on how many denizens on this forum are so concerned over s-t-y-le (i.e. graphics) over substance (gameplay). I also noticed the pro-home console bias against handhelds. If a game with "inferior" graphics, but superior gameplay beats a game with the opposite attributes, so be it.
Having a sequel to a well-recieved game on the DS is a victory for handheld systems.
