Famitsu reviews Super Smash Bros. for 3DS: 37/40

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS comes out in Japan on Saturday, while the rest of the world has to wait about a month longer. Famitsu reviewed the game this week and gave it a 37/40 (10/9/9/9).

This is the same score they gave Melee. Brawl was the only game in the series they gave a "perfect" 40/40 to. Also, keep in mind Famitsu awarded masterpieces like Nintendogs and Final Fantasy XIII-2 scores of 40/40, and Modern Warfare 3 and Resident Evil 6 scores of 39/40.

Flooooooooooop, we all know the Wuu version will be much better.

It's Famitsu. They write one paragraph reviews for a couple of the games they review and just assign scores (zero explanation for them) for everything else. Their scores don't mean jack unless they unanimously agree a game is bad (20s or lower).

Chhh, Famitsu! When have they ever given a game a bad review? Not that I think Smash Bros will be bad or anything, but they're not exactly a reliable source. Wasn't it revealed that publishers outright paid Famitsu for scores?

They gave Final Fantasy XIII-2 a perfect score. =/

Famitsu used to be the site that gave the harshest reviews, to get a perfect score was near impossible, for at least 5 years now they have totally reversed that and are now a joke.

Who cares what Famitsu thinks anymore? Their taste is shit. Either that or they just throw score darts at a board when rating games.

Famitsu is probably the least reliable review source next to Gamespot to follow.

As much as i'm sure it will have more or less this kind of scores in most websites, i can't take Famitsu scores without a grain of salt.

This game needs to come out sooner!:x I try some newcomers for sure, but I really excited for my brawl vets Marth, Ike, and Wol- ....<.<

I think we all know what this game is. There's so much footage out there. I really don't think reviews will do much at this point.

Also, a "hive mind"? It blows my mind that some people think that (not saying you do in particular, Char), when in reality, the sheep are more broken up than the Nords of Skyrim.
