Well the 360 looks good this year too, it's just almost every game is for PC as well so it kinda looks average while the PS3 has a ton of great looking exclusives.
Yes, 2008 will definitely be a much better year for PS3 in the games department. The main question is though, will it be enough to redeem itself from a horrible start? Only time will tell.
The PS3 has over 50 games on the system; over a dozen at 9.0 or higher, close to twenty adding in the 8.0-9.0's and not a single one under 7.0. The next year ofcourse will be better for Sony, although personally I have nothing against Xbox (or Wii) except for a general lack of family oriented games.
By the Way it is past New Years and has anybody seen the 80-120 new titles that Gamespot quoted as being out over the Holidays!! that's a total rip...although I believe I may have misrepresented Gamespot as it was really a a market analyst who said that, but... WHERE ARE THEY!!!
sorry - getting a little late; 2 mistakes in last blog
1) The statement about the family orientation was not a qupte on the Wii (and more than justly focused my thought's on the Xbox)
2) the 80-120 new titles were exclusives for the Wii, which Nintendo says were in developement (although their own quote didn't give a timetable for the games htey had in developement); however that was a direct quote from a market analyst on Gamespot and I should say that it still sounds like faulty info.... (the post regarded the Wii's increase in popularity and it's expected sales over the 4th quarter - way back in October or September??)
You have to admit so far the PS3 looks very good this year, and clearly has the strongest lineup of games this year out of all the CONSOLES (not PC)catlin_czirr
i wouldnt say clearly, it is good i must say but the 360's also looks great.
anyway the games arent released yet, we wont truly know until they are released.

Actually only 2 are above 9/90% and those are multiplats (although NG sigma did get a 9 here on GS)
The PS3 should do very well in 2008. There are a few "system seller" titles duewhich might finaly motivate the tens of millions of PS2 owners to upgrade. Also Home has the potential to be something special. Like Second Life but with gaming.
Microsoft will probably react by bringing the 360 price down. It is cheap to make so they have room to do this.
Wel a lot of big games are coming out this year, so i would expect so. Its a good thing i'm almost done with school so i can start making money to afford them all. :)
