Make of this information what you will, but after much internal discussion Operation Rainfall believed it would be best to share this information with our followers. Consider this our announcement of a forthcoming announcement.

I'm really stuck up about this since the phrase would be natural with them there and most definitely would shut down the idea that these games will come, but they're not there. I'm not sure if the omission's deliberate. I'm not even sure what the effect is in terms overall interpretation of the message, but it's pissing me off. One interpretation of mine is...

With "any of", that "and" could be replaced with "or". However, there's no "any of". This is a bundle/package statement. This is like giving your local retailer $50. They won't give you Game X, Game Y, and Game Z, they'll give you Game X, Game Y, or Game Z.

Only those higher-up on the ladder are allowed to release information. Everyone else is under NDA until they've been given clearance. Why didn't NoA release this information in the first place and prevent Operation Rainfall? I don't know. The only possible explanation is that they masterminded this whole operation as free advertising and that our source is in fact Reggie keeping us on edge by trying to keep things as suspicious and vague as possible.

The only two reasons I can think of that Nintendo is not releasing them would be 1) they simply don't care about making a few extra bucks enough to print up the discs, or 2) they want to keep North American Wii owners starved for games so that they will be more hyped up about the Wii-U next year, which seems rather cruel so I'd hope that's not the case. I think they are just being lazy so they're sitting on them, like how they sat on Sin and Punishment for the N64 in its final days even though it was a great arcade-styIe shooter that was getting very positive buzz from fans.

The funniest part of reading this was the fact that they are dealing with it.

Mother 3 wasn't released in America because of how poorly Earthbound sold, this was all due to the unusual marketing such as the slogan: "This game stinks". Xenoblade hasn't been given the opportunity to suffer or flourish but (J)RPGs have become more popular since then as a value, however their popularity is low as a percentage due to the number of people who are addicted to their R trigger.

It's coming out in the UK in a week.

GS and other western gaming sites and magazines can do their part and review it. Otherwise some might not buy if they don't see enough decent reviews. And Nintendo will think western gamers may not care.

But that does bring up a point, I think there are some pro independent reviewers on youtube.
