I play video games to escape to relax from a hard day of business and school. Not to play with fake animals. Because If i wanted to walk or pet some sort of animal I would make sure it's real. There is no satisfaction from petting a fake dragon on a TV screen. But when you walk your dog, teach him new tricks, know he's at the foot of the bed protecting you at night, there is no greater satisfaction than that. I'd like to see a "fantastic pet" do that. to actually love you.Big deal. I have a wife, kids and dogs. And as much as I love my real dogs, nothing beats playing and interacting with a real child. And real children have real imaginations and a game like this could be a lot of fun for them. Real kids can play with real dogsAND use their imaginations to play with fake dogs. The two concepts are not mutually exclusive, at least for children.
There may be no satisfaction for you, but that is most likely because you have been socialized to limit your imagination, as that is what we tend to do to our children as they grow up. What that really means is that we miss out on the fun. I presume you do not have kids of your own. When you do, you may be surprised at how much more (re)interested you may become with childish or kiddie or imaginary things.
