ah ! map editors, i also used to be so excited over them 10-12 years earlier like the consolites are getting excited now. Good for them, maybe 5-6 years down the line they will get proper mod support too in many of their hyped games

i doubt it will rival halo 3s :DSaintsRowSam

why not? the map editor in Far Cry Instincts destroyed the garbage that Bungie offered in Halo3.

I'm a little put off about the lack of basic AI control.

Still, I hope the PC gets the SDK and a more advanced editor, as they did with Crysis.
That editor was actually incredibly easy to use, compared to many.

Can anyone tell me where I can find some creativity? I can't make maps very well.

[QUOTE="Angry_Bosmer"]It seems to have limits to amounts of stuff but is simple. Many PC editors (Cryteks Sandbox 1 and 2) are far more deep. Consoles has good map editors, like Far Cry instincts (um... same series). That is a freaking nice editor though, sure beats Halo's forge mode. Hope the PC version is this good.LibertySaint

Well uh lol did u the watch the whole video where they showed the last map? it was HUGE! with all those cars and such, it doesn't look there is an object or size limit from that map, it was at least the size of a frontlines fuel of war map, at least. Of coarse the pc verison will be king...lol
In Halo 3 you can't make your own maps you just move items around, in Far Cry 2 you create your own mapspidadragon1
My Foundry halo 3's maps beg to differ, i made each mao very different on that level, sure they didn't have textures that were unique, but i made buildings, race ways, towns, jungle like levels and of coarse base attack maps and all that good stuff, any halo 3's forger would argue with you, but i could careless what u think. I do agree far cry 2 map editor will be better because of the actual options and sizes u can make of maps.

I wanna know how we share the maps!!!! /cry :(

i don't see what you are arguing against? spidadragon1 was right...

By making a map you are literally changing the level geometry, terrain type, and defining features. In forge all you are capale of doing is moving items, and altering some basic properties but you cannot do anything to the level geometry or static items.
