I don't understand your statement. It is a universal truth that KB/M is a superior input solution to a gamepad on a PC. Maybe you don't like the setup because it requires more skill to dominate? Anyway, PC for me.

Its not a universal truth just a matter of opinion. And theres nothing about skill a person can play CS for 4 months and you know what he can do after that.I have been playing pc since long but i personally prefer controller over mouse and keyboard.BTW controllers require more time to get used to.So in a way they require more skill.

Riiiiiight. Using 6 fingers on a controller takes longer to get used to than 10 fingers on a keyboard and mouse. Don't cry when you get owned in MP.

For me it was the complete opposite.

Before being a PC gamer I could pick up a gamepad and play a console FPS and get used to it quickly. There was nothing difficult about using a gamepad at all.

KB+M was a much different story. It took me a couple months for me to actually get used to the controls.

KB+M requires much more skill.Not a gamepad.

"Superior" really depends on what you're looking for. To me, having the most comfortable input device is more important than a missed headshot here or there. I play to have fun, not to obsess about whether I'm "dominating".

I'm thinking the PC version will do significantly better than either of the consoles ones.

My evidence? This poll's results and the preorder rankings on Gamestop and Amazon.

If you look at the sales rankings on Gamestop and amazon, you'll see that the console versions aren't even close.

Ever tried to play with your feet, rather than your hands? It's hardcore.

Being difficult to control is not a good thing, no matter how you spin it.

Is there any word on being able to put A.I in your map like soldiers and people just for single player purpose? I haven't found any proof that you can and that would suck.

If you had a PC capable of running it then that would definitely be the way to go. Currently I don't (fried 9800GTX) so I'm probably going to buy it for PS3 just because I like the controller more then my 360's.

That's all that matters. Some have fun just playing, others have fun dominating but the most important thing is to play to have fun.

LOL same here but Crysis map editor was **** hard.I would actually want a smooth, calm and easy gameplay over a thing i cant make full use of.That is why i am getting it for my PS3 aswell. And my PC would also "max" it out but i am not a graphics whore :).I am quite sure that my PS3 would deliver me a fantastic quality some what near to high on pc.

O_o

Crysis sandbox editor is a breeze....

Seriously hard? Its drag and drop. Hell you can load up singleplayer levels and modify them - then play them in the editor.

Why would the PC editor be any more difficult than the 360 one for FC 2?...

Besdies if you think the console versions are going to be of the same visual quality of the PC you are terribly mistaken.
"I am quite sure that my PS3 would deliver me a fantastic quality some what near to high on pc."
If you are not a 'graphics whore' then the visual quality of the PS3 version being worse than 'high' on the PC - or possibly along the lines of 'medium' (as the previews have stated the massive difference) shouldn't concern you at all.

True, you had to learn how to do a lot of stuff by watching videos or reading tutorials, but you could find almost all of them on crymod.com. Also, you know how much more diverse and open-ended PC editors are? You can do almost anything you want to with Sandbox 2 editor. That editor was amazing, I spent probably more time creating my maps than actually playing the game and I played that game to death; still playing Crysis Warhead now.

Why would I chose an handicap controler?

I bet that a controler player wouldn't even last 10 sec with K&M... yeah...

Why don't you try to steping into a match K&M vs controler no auto aim... and then comeback to me.

Yes.

Just fiddled around with it, very very easy...

I dont bother with tutorials unless I want to learn somthing specific, I just try it out.

The only editor I have used that is easier is Operation Flashpoints / Armed Assault.

Woah, no need to call him a liar just cus you got pwned some lol. Skrat is one of the more sensible posters on these boards. You need to learn to relax or you'll be the one to be labelled 10.

The sandbox editor is really that simple. So are many others.

Ta thanks :)
And indeed there are plenty of other editors that are easy to use. Back in 01 I started with the Flashpoint editor, which is probably the easiest mission making editor around - from skirmishes to scenarios, and even things like Unreal Ed are quite easy once you get the hang of the fundamentals - however things get far more complex when you dive into the complexities, or start using UDE, same with Never-winter Nights, which can get very complex, however is quite easy to pickup.

The sandbox editors fantastic interface, and very easy to navigate - and everything you see on screen, is going to be just like it in gameplay- which you can jump into without leaving the editor. Just drag drop and play, no baking or anything.

An editor like Crysis's sandbox can boost the longevity, community and fun factor of a game quite a bit. Certainly keeps the community interested and active - with all the various user made stuff like physics maps floating around.

[QUOTE="lesner87"]Honestly i was a strict mouse and keyboard FPS player. But controllers are fun to play with.lesner87

Don't cry when you get owned in MP.

lol lets have a CS one on one ? Fair ?

Nah. If you want old school, let's do UT. If you want to step into the modern arena, Crysis Wars will do.

Is the 360 and PS3 versions going to be dumbed down in the editor mode? Perhaps it'll have smaller maps or something.
