I'd rather have friends, a social life and self respect than to say I have slightly better graphics.
Average PC gamer looks like this, no wonder console sales are going through the roof:

Obviously, but I can tell by the posts ITT that most of the console gamers here are children. You seem to be pretty upset yourself.[QUOTE="SpinoRaptor"][QUOTE="ChupacabraIII"][QUOTE="SpinoRaptor"][QUOTE="ChupacabraIII"]The PC version will

[QUOTE="cobrax75"]Console version runs the game graphiclly at medium settings...and yes its been confirmed...
I suppose the PC version will be getting mods as well.
lesner87
I would need a proof to that.
"Far Cry 2 is also a beautiful game, at least on PC. Clever shading based on layers not textures means the game can scale to your PC, and the powerful demonstration machine displayed a crisp, sun-drenched, coherent and detailed landscape; one both functional and flattering, given the decision to all but scrap a HUD. Requirements will be typically lower than bitter rival Crysis, we're told, but Far Cry 2 will happily get the most out of even the most monstrous rig. Redding describes the console versions as comparable to a "medium load-out on PC", and warns us that, "graphically you're going to notice slight differences". Which we did."

Why do people hate on consoles so much?Ilived
Are you serious? maybe you're just taking the comments to heart when people are giving legitimate reasons why they're buying the PC version over the console version. If you had actually read this thread you'd see there's a lot more "hate on" PCs.

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=190747And how have you found managing these assets to work on both consoles and PC?
"Amancio: Obviously it's a huge challenge. We have constraints but they're totally different constraints. We kept all of them in check from the beginning and by doing that we basically built the game around their constraints.
We tried not seeing them as negatives, but 'how can we take that weakness and turn it into a strong point?' For example we do have a very limited memory on console so instead of taking that as a negative we redesigned our graphical pipeline and memory's no longer an issue. We can have the open world, we can have the crispness... everything."

The article may have been a hands-on, but Reddings is the producer of FarCry 2. Not to mention the article writer said he noticed what Reddings was warning them about. There's no doubt the PC version will look better than the console versions, but by how much is still up in the air.
Here are pics from the 360 version od the game anyways.
As with almost every game it will probably look better in motion on your actual screen, but I believe the PC version will end up looking quite noticeably better indeed.
ZimpanX
lol you have the EXACT same pc as mine only i have Core 2 duo.
