Specifically, "Hope County, Montana." Here are the teasers:
Oooh, ominous.
What do you think?

If its modern day montana. Im not interested. it will be utterly generic game.
If its old west montana than i will be very interested. please be old west. please be old west.
also music at last feel old west. I will be so happy if its old west game.
@ghosts4ever:
Well, according to the Eurogamer video I posted in another thread, which these videos seem to confirm, Far Cry 5 will have a "modern wild west" setting: i.e. it's set in modern day, but will have a wild west-like theme.

lol. there is not such thing as modern wild west. if its modern, have modern weapon like ak 47 and cars. its no wild west.
@ghosts4ever:
Just going by what the Eurogamer video said here, mate, no need to shoot the messenger.
And have you seen the TV show "Justified?" Good show. I'd definitely describe that as "modern wild west." Not saying that's what Ubisoft are gunning for, just giving an example.

There is bro. Even futuristic ones, Robocop is part Western.
On topic, just show the game, at this point we have 4+ of them, abit sick of it, hype is low, not the time for teasing.
well i'm glad its not a traditional Wild West game, that would be too transparent an attempt by Ubi to ride off RDR2 hype.
I just hope its not too heavy on the crafting stuff that shit got old in the last couple FC games

What the heck is "modern wild west"?
@lawlessx:
At this point, I have no idea what Ubisoft are gunning for. But as I said in an earlier reply, "modern wild west" is how I would definitely describe the TV show "Justified."
Really curious how they tell this story, when the franchise has always been about being trapped in the wilderness.
Like, find an interstate and drive the f*** out of there.
Probably something about trying to save the dude's girlfriend. Like Outlast 2 with better lighting.
This is actually a great choice. With all of the private militias active in the region, it makes for a chaotic setting. I can see this working.
@commander:
I'm fairly certain they are live action.
Besides, the only important information that can be discussed from these is the revelation of the location and time period of the game's setting, which confirm some of the rumours flying around and may or may not confirm the rest.
I don't get why everyone ignores the elephant in the room , either these are some gorgeous graphics or just shitty promotional videos with no in game footage.
Knowing Ubisoft, these teaser are CGI.
I pretty psyched for this game. The setting is perfect. I just hope Ubisoft doesn't look down on the locals as stereotypes, and even though militias would be a perfect structure for the antagonist, I hope they don't demonize militias in general or push some anti-gun agenda.
