What makes Zelda and Metroid not REAL adventure games? Metroid especially because it's entire focus is on solving how to explore an unknown world and figuring out the back story based on this exploration. If that isn't an adventure, I don't know what is

My favorite is RPGs and FPS. I also like TPS, but I like FPS way more.

RPGs including JRPGs, WRPGs and SRPGs. I don't particularly like MMOs. Alongside RPGs, I also enjoy horror, platformers and action/hack n' slash.

Easily RPGs.

In order of preference:

RPG, Sandbox, Adventure, Shooter, Platformer, RTS, MMO, Strategy, sports, fighting games (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, etc.)
