Here are a couple more Favorite Video Game Intros of mine.
They are excessive and over-the-top, but in just the right ways (well, at least I think so)!
"CONTRA: SHATTERED SOLDIER"
"NEO CONTRA"
This. The whole intro with the car journey, perfect little short intro to where Leon is after Resi 2, nothing complicated, nothing complex (take notes Capcom of today) and then the guy taking a leak and that camera angle of someone watching and the game just toys with you, you expect something to happen, but nope. Then when you finally get to the village and all hell breaks loose. Even now playing that section when bag head appears, it makes me crap my pants.[QUOTE="bobbetybob"][QUOTE="chocolate1325"]
Resident Evil 4
NaveedLife
the whole opening scene and then going into the cabin (with the mind blowing graphics and over the shoulder view...so unique) to see that guy, then you bust out of the window. The game was epic right out of the gate.
Game is godly till the end.Nothing beats
Chrono Cross intro, over a decade later it still gives me goosebumps on how amazing it is.
Honorable mentions
The Witcher intro
Resident Evil 1 intro
Metal Gear Solid 1 intro
Starcraft 2 intro
Crysis intro
Crysis 2 intro
Bioshock intro
Batman: Arkham Asylum.
Walking the Joker through the facility is just awesome.
The sequel also has a very good intro, but I think the first game's is more memorable.
