P.S. Yes I know they are 2 Completely different genres of games. (RTS vs FPS) But I doubt that Microsoft announced halo wars for February of next year for the lolz, they put it so it would hurt KZ2 sales.

We're comparing the PS3's biggest February 2009 hitter and the 360's biggest February 2009 hitter. I see no problem here.

Both look very underwhelming and unimpressive, but I'll go with Killzone 2. The latter should be a lot better, considering all the time, money, and effort they've put into this project.

I guess we finally get to see Halo in bird's eye view in action and Killzone 2 in its daring action takeover.

I have constantly seen people say that Halo Wars will be a huge hit sales wise because "it has Halo in the name". Well so far Halo as a name has only sold FPS games and not tried to test its name power outside of that genre. Obviously there are plenty of hardcore Halo fans but do you honestly think that the vast majority of Halo fans that bought Halo 3 to frag and tea bad their opponents are gonna buy into an RTS just because of the name.

I highly doubt it, its sales will be respectable but Halo is known for its FPS multiplayer gameplay and its very casual friendly. RTS's are FAR from casual friendly and will not satisfy that same run and gun feel people got from Halo 1,2,3.

Oh I am sure it will sell decently on name alone, but it will in no way be to the level of the REAL Halo games. I mean heck I am a huge MGS 4 fan but I had no intention on buying MGS Acid, its just not the gameplay I prefer no is the story cannon. I have lots of Halo fan friend and I know they have never considered touch an RTS, thats a very hardcore PC type of game. The name may excite them but ONE trailer or gameplay footage will have their smiles turning upside down.

I have faith in KZ2, they have definatly put the work and time into that game and I think people underestimate the power of resources. KZ1 had very few resources, KZ2 has more then enough. And the previews seem to support my feelings.

The thing is: How many of the roughly 8.2 million people that bought Halo 3 do you think know that HW is an RTS? I'm sure it will sell 2.5 copies at the bare minimum. At least 1.6 million of those copies will go to people who are surprised at what they start playing when the load up the game. :lol:

For now your just going to have to make due with the beta footage and the vids the developpers release which are infact quite amazing
