Final Fantasy games are an old and tired franchise. at FF 13 it's just ran it's course and Sony really needs to get some fresh new games and developers fast because the Sony ship is going down pretty fast as we speak.

Not to mention it is looking that the PS3 truly is under powered in it's GPU and if you have seen the Fable early 3D graphic engine build on a nice HD TV from Xbox marketplace. I think it's safe to say the 360 is really starting to pull away in terms of graphics.

With the likes of a very well known developer even coming out recently in UbiSoft and basically saying PS3 just is not even capable of rendering graphics for it's next SC game. Cleary saying the PS3 has a dated GPU.

Anyway back to what I'm getting at the new Fable 2 graphics are looking to be beyond what the PS3 is capable of in terms of graphics.

So whats going to happen when Fable 2 SMOKES FF13 in graphics. Well it may not be so bad being the user base of PS3 is pretty low and seemingly getting worse by the day with it's very dwindling sales numbers.

 I am pretty sure this looks better than Fable 2 so far.

It makes those FF13 pics really look like COMPLETE TRASH.

Crysis has NOTHING on that Fable 2 forest, where each grass blade and leaf is individually shadowd and lit, and casts and receves shadows on and from other leaves, cast on the ground, grass too etc, the sun beams are a little better too than Crysis ones, the HDR use better too, and the art thousands of times better, making those next gen effects really stand out, when in Crysis you can hardly like those shadows since they blend too much with the surroundings

And the textures on the trees are better than all FF13 textures combined, you forget that 90% you see are PLACEHOLDERS, i can link you to the forum that the developers confirm it, even that house in the back, it is directly taken from Fable 1 assets, you did not expect to have everything in there with a few months of development on the game

As for FF13, i do not know why it is even in this duscussion, yea the NPC's look good, but the SURROUNDINGS are not to spit on, thay are years behind what Fable 2 does

Go to gametrailers.com and watch the HD version of the new developer trailer and watch the last min of it and pull your chin off the floor of the in game graphic engine.

If you have a 360 you could watch it on Market place on a nice HD TV and you will be really BLOWN AWAY.

FF13 has far better trees and forests with shadows from every leaf around, grasses as far as the eye can see, sun beams running through archtecture, HUGE vast cities fully 3D with hundreds of houses, indeed it is amazing, Fable 2 what ?

Fable 2 jsut has some corridors, that you can restricted fight a few monsters, and the surrounding look no better than kotor 1 on my 360, now this is the least next gen game i have seen

Okay, I watched it. I must say that the game has some awesome lighting and "leave swaying", but other than that its nothing too special.

I was considering putting all your bullsh*t exaggerations in blue, but then all of it would be blue. 

I don't know if anybody pointed this out yet but Fable only scored an 8.6. It's not like this is some award winning franchise (like FF). Fable 2 has a lot of potential but it hasn't earned the respect you're attempting to give it.

And I don't care what anyone else said. I went into Fable with low expectations, knowing that it had disappointed a lot of people, and boy did it ever suck. I spent about 6 hours playing it total before I realized that the game had no depth in any way whatsoever. It was more shallow than most action games. Yet, to think that this game even had the nerve to call itself an RPG. So many things about it are just lame.

And your graphics argument is the exact kind of mentality that Fable was made out of. Fable looks good, it sounds great, there are loads of visual options for customizing your character. Yet, gameplay-wise, you've barely got anything. As a whole the game holds the idea of flash over substance very dear. When it comes to video games, I hate the idea of flash over substance. I loathe it beyond anything else because it's becoming more and more prevalent in any game today.

As for Fable 2, it might be good. We'll see. They better understand the difference between a game having depth and LOOKING like it has depth this time.

U know I really am looking forward to this game but some of u blind a$$ ppl really need some glasses. Yes this game does look beautiful and I admit it has its own art style which makes the game look great but to come in here and say it will look better then final fantasy 13 which we havent seen any real gameplay yet but trailers is just nonesense, and anyone who knows about square enix, knows that they are one of the top of the line companys especially when it comes to graphics. Here is a little teaser of how final fantasy 13 lead role character will look in the final version.

Believe it or not, but with gears of war and Uncharted drakes fortune and mass effect making me a believer that facial expressions of that quality can be done on next gen console, this is how final fantasy will look when the game is done. Oh and u think this is awesome, just wait until we see the final version of MGS4, I guarantee u, Kojima will set the bar with graphics in consoles when the game is done.

Is that a joke ? Warcarft 3 graphics ? WOW graphics are like 4 generations behind those graphics in Fable 2, if not many more

Also it is a matter of taste, if you like more realistic titles, Fable 2 is just not for you, that is another issue altogether

 I don't really think it'll look like CGI-quality otherwise Crysis would been defeated (graphics wise)

To the TC....please don't hype Fable 2.  Fable 1 was hyped to all heck...and look what happened.  It was a 10 hour "RPG".  I put "RPG" in quotes because it BARELY FIT THE CRITERIA for an RPG.  It was more of an action/adventure game.  It was just great having to watch the loading screen time and time again.  Walk from point A to point B in small sections...watch the loading screen.  Walk from point C to point D in small sections...watch the loading screen. 

I just loved hearing the voice "Try to get your multiplier even higher" randomly over and over and over and over and over and over again.  The game was also super easy...even easier than Wind Waker.  RPGs are supposed to have at least a few tough boss fights.  Where were they here? 

Also, the graphics of Fable looked remarkable in early, early builds...then the completed version came.  The graphics were good, but not amazing. 

And then there was the "best RPG of all time" or whatever Molyneax said.  I can't understand how anyone could possibly get excited for this game after the huge disappointment of Fable.
