First of all, FF games get delayed more often than any other franchise.

Second, if it indeed does come out in 08, It will be in Japan late late 08. Meaning it wouldn't be in English and state side until early 09.

Nope. That's one of the great things about FF games. They have noiting in common with eachother. Evey game is a new story, new setting, no universe, new characters, new gameplay. Everything.
