FFX-2 doesn't make sense either, really. And FFXIII-2 is a pretty random sequel to FFXIII, just as FFX-2 was a random sequel to FFX, seeing as how both FFX and FFXIII both seemed to have wrapped up their stories.
Just hopefully FFXIII-2 won't follow the path FFX-2 did and hopefully won't be a horrible sequel to a good FF game. though FFXIII-2 could end up a damn good game if SE brings back the great combat system and terrific production values of FFXIII.
FFX-2 was actually a good game, but as an RPG, the game was severly lacking in story which affected many other aspects in the game, if FFXIII-2 is also lacking in story, no matter how good the game is, production values wise, the game will still be bad. Imo, FFXIII should have ended with FFXIII, the story was just aweful, the game was lacking in alot of aspects, the game was just subpar, it wasn't bad, but it's not good enough to get a sequel, FFX deserved a sequel especially with its ending ..... milkage, it seems they are too worried about getting to FF XXXXX faster than they thought, so they decided that they will release a sequel to every FF, that should slow the process a little bit.
